I just listened to the song like 4 times, I can not find this glitch you speak of.
yup, i just picked up the album from walmart. can’t find any glitch in ocelot and mike is definitely plenty far up in the mix. complainers must not have the final version of the album. n00bs. 
if your streaming…maybe its not the music and its just your computer…because i can not hear it.

How can we even say its a flub? This was recorded before first leg of the tour right? Maybe Trey reworked it? If they took 235 takes (or whatever it was) to get TTE right, they would obviously get this right IF there was something wrong. I don’t think that this is a flub.
Its obviously a flub because you can hear the live versions where he has fixed it. I actually like the message that the flub sends though. Are you really this hot and bothered over ONE note. I mean come on guys. I think its their equivalent of saying “were only human” and I think they left it in there to prove it. If you don’t think they listened to it a million times and coudl’ve fixed it EASILY then you are sorely mistaken. Trust me they left it in their for a reason. They wanted it to be raw and it wasn’t a song that needed every part to be perfected hence the live feeling of some of the songs.

those songs will get old fast if they don’t start jamming them out more. Ocelot was becoming an 8-9 minute song by the end of tour…

^I know, but I mean honestly they are going for that live in studio sound, they’ve done it for the past few albums.
I’ll say though that this one is starting to grow on me a little. I still hate like half the songs on it, but the half that I like is stuff that I really like a lot.

I completely agree. I love the album, and am very excited that they are putting out new material, but this could have been done so much better. The tracks off Joy (in my opinion) lack the depth that some of their other studio albums had. That’s precisely what I love about their studio work…the fact that they can add sounds and textures which would be impossible to do live.
It is within the first 5 notes of Trey’s solo.
Something about this album is very weird to me. I enjoy every song individually but as an album it feels like its missing something. I don’t like the album but I like the songs? Does that make sense?
^Yeah, there’s really no flow between the songs. Its just a bunch of songs. They should have put the songs in a different order. I mean the two longest song titles are the first two tracks. And its missing Alaska.
Some of you folks don’t understand Phish or Trey… There is total flow to JOY! (IMO) I also think that first note of Ocelot was liked by Trey and or Steve Lillywhite and they stuck with it for sure.
