Roger Waters

I debated on whether to put this in one of the existing Pink Floyd topics. But thought it may work best on it’s own.

Last night I went to see Roger Waters at The United Center with a few friends. What an amazing show. Incredibly over the top, in the best way possible. Great music, theatrics and my favorite dude from PF. ------Spoiler----- The Wall that they build is gigantic, and provides a great backdrop for the projection of the animations. They have retooled the original movie with modern technology. While not a straight up rock concert, I can’t think of any show that I have seen to rival the enjoyment that I had with The Wall. Go see it!

Roger’s voice still sounds great at 67. I would even recommend this show to non-Floyd fans.

I think he needs to drop the Wall from rotation.

Damn guy doesn’t play anything from Momentary or Division.

Haven’t seen him since '99… you may have just peaked my interest.

lol.

Sorry for the double post. I just wanted to rescind my “lol” cuz Brady is now dead to me, ever since declaring “Rush < Springsteen” as fact.
:exclamation:

Plus I bet he doesn’t even like the Wall, and I naively thought he was just referencing the Phish thread about dropping shit from rotation. In fact, if I ever laughed at something else you said jaw, consider it considered no longer funny. Okay maybe you do like the Wall. But I bet you don’t.
:nerd:

Holy shit am I pissed off.
:eh:

I mean not really, but come on dude.

I don’t like the Wall AND i was referencing the Phish thread.

Wall < Meddle

double truth, Ruth.

There’s a zombie posting in this thread! Help!

I’m waiting for the Disney ride.

While having a few beers at a nearby bar prior to the show, one of my buddies asked me my favorite Floyd album. I had to say the Wall, hands down. He proceeds to tell me why Division Bell is their best, followed by MLoR. I happily told him that his opinion was wrong. David Gilmour is a douche, Roger Water’s stand-in guitarist made the Comfortably Numb solo scream. That guitar fucked our collective faces.

Plus I didn’t mention how cool the giant marrionette school master was, the pig “blimp” was pretty sweet.

^ :wtf:

Man, sometimes I think opinions can actually be legitimately wrong.

was thinking about trying to go to the Tampa show but the only available tickets are $210.00 and that isn’t even close to the stage…I wouldn’t even pay $210 for a phish show (unless it was a 3 day festival).

bwahahahahaha!
