Sounds fair to me.
thanks for sharing!
Maybe I was stupid but I never thought of the song joy being a song where phish was singing to us in the chorus. If that makes any sense.
“Boggie-till-you-puke number”,I never thought of KDF that way, kinda funny though…
Just bought the magazine a couple of nights ago. I liked the review! But we all know that RS likes Phish anyway . . .
“best album yet”
WoW.
^haha, yeah I forgot about that part too. I like how it also said that Billy Breathes is their other “best album”
Lots of hyperbole in that article.
Backwards’ solo is the best studio moment ever for Trey? Hmmmm.
I think Trey’s best studio moment ever is at the end of Squirming Coil.
hmmmm…
while i agree that this album is TITS… it hasnt sunk in enough to be declared the ‘best’… of course BB is my favorite, but Joy is becoming a runner up… some of those comments were questionable though… Treys best solos are earlier IMO however the flow and togetherness of the band in this album blows away all my expectations.
I was completely surprised. What a great job on this
album!
That album is solid, the more I hear it the more I dig it. I might be in the minority here but Joy is a good tune and makes me smile. I know his sister/daughter are intertwined there but for intensive purposes I think the band loves the smiles during the choru from us.
just out of pure curiosity, because i believe you are pretty new to Phish from your introduction thread, what were your expectations?
^Beef stew? maybe?
