^^^ Is that for real? If so, that’s not a good sign.
So did the vocal jam kill evil King Wilson? ;D
^YES…
I was going to say the same thing…Trey is a recovering alcoholic and should not be drinking ANYTHING!!..
i’m on Poor Heart. so far, so so good! i can’t imagine NOT likeing this???
Indeed. He’s a married man, too. Not that marriage means something significant to me, but Sue probably wouldn’t like that conduct even if he wasn’t sipping the beer.
When is this from?
^^ haha i dont know, just thought it was a picture that would spark much debate
Trey’s having a bunch of fun…
relax people…this is a picture of trey at a private party in toronto the night before the GRAB show back in july 06…there was a house band at that private party and cactus, trey and russo played a couple songs on the house bands instruments…my guitar teacher’s old guitar teacher was in that house band and trey played his guitar…thats the closest ive come to playing a guitar trey has played (not so close but still kind of a cool story lol)
Trey’s having a bunch of fun…
Rock Star. God I wish I was Trey.
I thought it was 1 hellofa party set!!! I would love to have been there! They sounded GREAT!!! We had Phishtube playing through some Bose speakers and a flat screen, while getting freaky tantric to the show!!! I’m telling you I had the best " not at the show time"! I’ve been to enough shows to recognize heat from them, and I’ve seen a lot of rarities also. Last night was 103 mph (with movement) Who gives a shit if they play LTJP or not?! You’ve probably never seen one ( yet you keep coming back to shows) I hope you are not going to 20 shows this summer just to collect songs that haven’t been played since '88.
I could hear plenty of KDF jams happily. Last night had segues, sammys, teases, great improv, sex funk, coolers (wading) bustout (1), ambient etc… It was tight. I think the word meh (is that Yiddish?) should be stricken from the vocabulary. It takes a real spoiled kid to throw that term around. I never heard people say such drivel. Phish ripped last night. I don’t want to hear people think they were ripped off!!
I’m predicting Brian and Robert, Antelope, It’s Ice for Sun. Big cover=Quinn. I think Jimmy has something to say also.
I thought it was a good show. They can’t play an absolute rager every time.
Someone needs to listen to that Kill Devil Falls again.

Good to hear. Now that I look at it again, he does look skinny in that picture compared to now.
This argument is pointless. Sunday they are playing a “serious” (don’t be so serious) show. Remember the 20th anniversary show? I’d take last night over that show and the 20 minute movie 10 out of 10 times. Some phans have niched themselves out of what is relevent with the band. Get it? They are not your band or my band. Close your eyes if you don’t want to read this… Last night was some great stadium rock. Phish stopped being an inside joke 15 years ago. (when half the crowd were Dog Faced Boys or at least gophers). If you are going to St. Louis that will have to suffice with a little intimacy.
I would rather see the songs they are already nailing taken to different levels and explored than suffer through p.h. massacres. A far as I’m concerned they haven’t played Mango since 1.0. Phish is a marathon, not a show or a tour. If you’ve been there all along than you have to be ecstatic for them. They are well and so am I. Anyways I’m sure they had to “rock the house” last night, so they can chill the place tomorrow.
the only thing that sucks is the poll options
“Phish is a marathon, not a show or a tour. If you’ve been there all along than you have to be ecstatic for them. They are well and so am I.”
beautiful.
Been listening to 6/12 and these jams in songs are fucking unreal and fresh. They are on FIRE!
The Down With Disease is especially awesome. They are bringing back the funk, I swear people.
^Agreed. Listening to that DWD now and enjoying it thoroughly.
I watched the stream live and listened a second time. Great show. I voted for awesome. They played a little more to the Bonnaroo crowd, not the Phish crowd, but if I was hearing Phish for the first time I would have been blown away. And they still have another show tonight, too, so we really have ot wait and see what happens until we can “judge” their Bonnaroo apperance. They are only human. Sometimes I feel bad for them. I’ve read interviews with Trey and Mike saying “I love that our fans are so dedicated but sometimes it gets frustrating that they get pissed if we play the same song more than 3 or 4 times in a tour.” Cut them some slack. They’re amazing, and they’re doing everything they can to put on a performance for their fans. Sometimes I wonder if they are just playing what they think people want to hear or what they actually want to play.
