round one extension?

it sounds like a few people will be away this weekend… the bigdude and booz among them. if people are so inclined, we can push back the end date for round one to the 28th. that way anyone who is away for the weekend can finish their last few moves when they return. i don’t see any problem with a short extension as long as most everyone is down… that said, i’ll toss is up for a vote.

question:
should round one be extended until the end of the month?

options:
(extension) - round will end tuesday, feb 28th @ midnight
(no extension) - round will end sunday, feb 26th @ noon

I voted Chess is For Nerds…I’m done all my challenging, so I don’t really care.

I agree, chess is for nerds.

AHHHH! Chess is for nerds is at 66.6%! Someone vote quick!

I will be gone from February 24th until March 4. I will not have any internat access that I know of. I am 5-0 in my group right now, with only one game left to play i believe, so if i dont finish this game within the 3 day allowance, no big deal, as I am still the leader right?

ahhh… until the fourth. damn. you’re right though… you’ll still be the leader. i’d explain your situation to cemetery and offer her the draw before you go. she seems to be a reasonable woman…

yeah, well i will see, my bud SHOULD have internet access, and maybe i could get on really quick in between mental lapses from spring break partying to make my moves.

i think an extension would be OK. i thought the games would go faster…but sometimes on the weekend i don’t even move, so an extension would be OK by me.

Extension isn’t a bad idea because games aren’t moving that fast for me either

ok looks like we have an extension…

round one will end tuesday feb 28th @ midnight est.

remember, unfinished games will be decided by the value of the pieces remaining on the board. that is the positive or negative number at the far left of your capture tally.

-10 in the example above (positive score = win; negative score = loss)

chess is totally fo’ n3rd5.

NJ3$des… fiunnny shit mang.
