^ I was sorta pissed at Bob for him & McNally selling of the Grateful Dead archive and for the Llama soundboard debacle but I got over it pretty quick. The soundboards are pretty widespread and available still, too. 99% of us dedicated Deadheads have about 99% of the available soundboards anyhow, we just have to trade it the old fashioned way again…word of mouth or stealthy! It IS called the MUSIC BUSINESS for a reason. Bob just finally decieded to sell out his share. It wasn’t a BAND decision. It was Grateful Dead managment.
That being said, Bob’s Ratdog is a fucking musical beast! They put on an exhausting show. They’re very very tight, Bob sounds excellent on vocals as well as guitar, and the tunes are solid. Michael Kang fit right in, too. Glad to see him sittin’ in and doing his thing…he really shined.
If they’re coming to your town, GO SEE THEM. Bob is most definately on fire.
Yeah, That place is very special.
I was so lucky to see Phish there.
It really is a magical venue. So much history.
