I’m going to see Beowulf in 3D at the IMAX tonight, never been to the imax or seen a film in 3D so should be a good experience even if the films isn’t great.
Thanks fone! I haven’t seen either of those. I am totally going to check them both out.
I finally got around to seeing Superbad and was pretty surprised to like it. I even watched it a second time about two days later. Definitely worth the hype.
Please let me know what you think.
I LOVED IT IN 3D!
The film itself is nothing to write home about, but the 3D effects are kick ass. the fight scenes made me jump out of my seat.
I think you’ll like it.
They even showed some previews when I saw it in 3D and I’m looking forward to seeing anything that comes out in that format.
They filmed a U2 concert and will show it in 3D. Pretty cool IMO.
yeah that 3D stuff was pretty cool, there is some animated movie coming out they showed a preview for that was real cool
be sure to get sotoned
Just bought HP Order of the Phoenix. Best one so far, me thinks. I have trouble following those young actors lines so the subtitle feature is ideal.
Just got back, just like you I wasn’t overly impressed by the film itself, it was pretty much centred in two locations for the whole thing…the dining hall, and the cave. The 3D effects on the other hand were awesome, I was expecting a fairly good effort but still a lot of room for improvement however it was pretty much perfect… it’s about as close as I’m going to get to seeing Angelina Jolie naked in 3D too which didn’t hurt.
I saw the U2 3D trailer as well and I’m not a fan of U2 but that looked pretty amazing too, as well as the underwater journey trailers etc.
I went with my parents so didn’t get a chance to smoke a J beforehand, I am definitely going to the next mainstream 3D film fully baked.
damn. i saw Beowulf in a regular theatre, non-3D style. didn’t like it enough to want to see it again, but now i may have to. it’s that cool huh?
Does anyone plan on seeing Cloverfield?
ummmm, don’t you mean 1.18.08?

Watched Bend It Like Beckham this weekend for the first time. Good fun.
I Saw No Country For Old Men the other day. Pretty fuckin’ awesome movie imo. The two lead guys, the good one and teh bad one, were superb. Especially the bad guy. A lot of dialouge and pretty predictable butt I was interested the entire time. Good flick, love dem Coen bros.
2 bad guys IMO. 1 was the devil though!
gonna go see Darjeeling at the Kennedy School tonight.
should kick ass.
will confirm later.
watched wedding date back to back times on tbs last night…wish i was kidding…
watched Knocked Up for the first time last night through a feverish haze. i really liked it. it wasn’t nearly as funny as it was hyped up to be, but it was an all-around good flick, IMHO.
tonight’s Flu-Time Theatre presents: Rushmore.
^ felt the same about it.
Saw a very bizarre movie last night called The Mudge Boy, and are you listening Spooks?, there was ghey stuff in it. Actually, there were ghey sex scenes in it, but it wasn’t about ghey people. It was about screwed up farm kids not being able to cope, and in that sense it was a pretty decent movie.
If you hate chickens, you’ll love this movie.
please understand where i’m coming from when i tell you that i must, and will see this movie before i die. i mean, it’s called “Boss Nigger” and it’s rated PG. i have to see this.

solid.
watched Braveheart in bed last night. really cool movie when you have a raging fever. i might even try it again tonight. actually, i think Return of the King is in order. watched the first two a couple weeks ago, might as well finish it up.
i had to get out of my house today no matter how sick i felt. i’ve been cooped up for a week now and i’m beginning to lose it a little. went and saw Sweeny Todd. it was GREAT. GREAT i say.
am i actually the first one here to have seen Cloverfield?
decent flick. cleverly done. i only have one small gripe about it, but to say it here would be giving too much away i think.
it’s gotten really terrible reviews on the IMDB, but i think those are mostly coming from spoiled rotten, jaded kids who have long ago lost the abilitly to use their imagination due to having every detail of everything spoonfed to them over the years. poor kids. oh well.
anyway, i liked it.
