Seen any good movies lately?

The ending is what makes the movie so great!
The whole “dream sequence/opium theory” is quite fascinating, IMO.

The original, unedited version is 3 hours, 49 minutes. I can see why you would think it was moving along slowly. Some parts do, I’ll give you that.

I also read somewhere that Sergio, upon completion of filming, had about double the final cut time worth of footage. So if they split it in half they must have had a shit load of scenes to cut.

Just watched Wild At Heart last night. Easily the best film I’ve seen with Nicolas Cage. How did he start sucking so much? I mean he had Raising Arizona, Wild at Heart…Jump ahead 10 -15 years…Con Air, Snake Eyes, The Rock…for christ sakes. Get back to where you once belonged jojo.

Yeah, Daniel Day Lewis is easily the greatest actor alive today.

It must suck when other actors know he has a new movie coming out.
They just know he will be awesome in it and most likely win every award.
Kinda like facing Tiger Woods on the Golf course.
Can you be better,…yes.
Will you?
Most likely not.

Can’t wait to see this flick.
I really like Paul Thomas Anderson movies and the fact that Lewis is in this one makes it that more appealing.

Using your first, middle, and last name as your title is always a sure-fire sign of being a top-notch, brilliant actor.

^ Or a serial killer.

I just watched Juno, I thought it was pretty good but not as good as people are making out to be. I like Michael Cera even though he wasn’t in it much. Also, it’s a good thing Ellen Page is 20 odd in real life, otherwise I’d have spent most of the film thinking how hot a 16 year old was. I thought her character was slightly irritating but fitted the role, kinda reminded me of Mary-Louise Parker from Weeds and Felicity Huffman from Desperate Housewives.

Give him time, give him time…

ha ha

gamecat your gonna fucking love there will be blood

^^Bwa haha hahah bwbwjhjhawhbakl;jshakl;ha hahahahaaaaaaaaaa.

Nice.

Rented “Beastie Boys: Awesome, I fuckin’ shot that” tonight… I’m only 3-4 years behind on this one… Excellent tho. Never seen them live. Captured the show very well.

Lewis is great. Truly remarkable in every role.

Like Johnny Depp too, but he couldn’t save the last Pirates movie. Just got to see it for the first time this weekend and it was just way too much. Order of finish in that trilogy: 1, 2, 3.

I really like 2 a lot better than 1…I didn’t think anything happened in 1. The movie finished and I was like “wait…what was that about? Was there a story?”…not like 2 was a huge improvement, but at least it made sense…but I agree 3 sucked.

2 > 1 > 3

And here I’ve been enjoying Pirates 3 over and over. I bought it fairly cheap and think its great. I love Depp in the film. …its… its… where I got the cuttlefish reference.

1>3>2

I’d say it’s about in the order of 1>2>3. The plot in Part 1 was very good and had lotsa twists and fun stuff. Part 2 had less plot but the action scenes were quite fun to watch. Part 3 was pretty similar to 2, but with a more inconsistent ending. Either way, Depp carries the whole damn series. He’s fantastic. The movie could have been about picking lice out of your hair and he’d have made it great.

And I will NEVER understand the use of a middle names or middle initials for actors. Okay, Mary J. Blige…is the “J” there to distinguish her from the OTHER Mary Blige out there? Haley Joel Osmond?..Oh…you mean THAT Haley Osmond…I got so confused. I think they do it just so they sound more important.

“sigh…some will just never understand the true scope of my importance.”

I just watched Species on my DVR.

One of the finest pieces of American film ever made.

^Indeed, Species is a good flick.

Watched Children of Men this weekend and unfortunately had higher expectations than realized. Decent movie, but definitely not as good as all the hype. Must of been hyped because of its pro-illegal alien message. Didn’t find that a necessary aspect to tell the story, and I don’t like political agendas in a film that I thought was about a plague of sorts.

But I did enjoy a sleeper of a film called Mean Creek, about a bunch of kids and a prank that goes bad. Good script, so-so acting, and nice direction.

RIP Roy Scheider. Jaws is one of my favorite movies.
