Shall we start speculating about Halloween yet?

+2, BigB for prez

 I was just going to post this. that’s my official call.

if that doesn’t happen, then this

I’m starting to think I just want it to be something mindfuckingly crazy…something where half the crowd making it through would be a success.

(Red Krayola - The Parable of Arable Land)

Hello there I’ve been a long time reader of this site and only posted a few comments here and there over the years, but I’m kind of in a bind (and I know this is off subject from this thread but I figured this was the best one to post in, and what the hell). So my buddies who were supposed to come with me for all three nights of the Atlantic City Halloween run backed out, and now im stuck with the hotel room by myself. I am offering anybody in need of a room or bed for any or all nights of the run (I got a two-bed room) some cheap space. I’m staying at the Days Inn which I stayed at for the '10 Halloween run and is very nice, only about a fifteen minute walk from the venue, and right on the Boardwalk. I’m not asking for a lot, whatever you can provide per night that you’re comfortable with is fine with me, I just don’t want the room to be a complete lose. As far as the use of the hotel room I just plan on using it as a quiet place to come back to after the shows and maybe the casinos to relax and get some rest.

My name is Jake, by the way. And I’m from Plattsburgh, NY so please let me know if anyone is interested or coming from the Upstate region.

That’s all very shitty, so what’s happening w your friends tickets?

Have you seen the Meetup Thread for this run? Might want to post in there, perhaps with a bit more details on ‘cheap space.’

Back on topic:

after the jams I saw this weekend, I don’t think there’s a chance in hell they’re doing The Band or anything that isn’t either in the psych rock or funk realm…I’d almost say they’re gonna cover Pink Floyd again, and considering how everyone knows last time was a wash I don’t think it’s out of the question

This should narrow down what’s coming for Halloween.

They played ACDC Bag last night, so Gamehendge has been broken out. Seems less likely now.

Agreed on Pink Floyd being a dud first go round. It was an A+ idea, with a C- execution. I’d love to see a do-over on that.

I don’t know that it ever seemed likely.

Huey Lewis & the News: Sports

Mark it down now…

Just read all the “clues” on the stream and everything that was in caps was the name of a song off this album or the title of the album itself. You heard it hear second

Or they could just be fucking with us again…

Yeah after I wrote that I figured it out but decided to post anyways :sunglasses:

It’s going to be Van Halen’s self titled debut, or VH’s 1984.

Final Answer, Regis.

here’s some stuff posted on another board, and may have originated on PT, I don’t know

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road reasoning

  1. Page confirmed taking vocal lessons for this years album

  2. On the phish.com the 11/1) the balloon is in “Kansas” for that one day. (Back In Kansas after the Yellow Brick Road) It has been reported all over and has been there for months, they specifically aren’t changing it.

  3. The posters for tour have all seem to be “Yellow” with Wizard of Oz similarities, most notably Hampton and Glens Falls.

  4. Mike has tweeted various Lime Green (Emerald) pictures since Fall tour started… twitter.com/mike_gordon/stat…314176/photo/1

  5. Double Album

  6. Page confirmed he wanted to play the Organ in Boardwalk Hall this time around (would be perfect for Funeral for a Friend Intro)

  7. The ticket for Halloween is basically the Wizard of Oz theme as well i.imgur.com/v0wEM4vl.jpg

If it winds up being Sports, we’ll all be the happier for it I bet. That album’s a winner.

She sings a song and
I listen to what it says
If you want a friend
Feed any animal…

I’d take Madman over Yellow Brick Road any day. Though that is kind of a compelling argument, except for the whole ticket thing. I don’t see the correlation.
