Shit, have I mentioned that NJ / NE has been cursed for the last 2 Halloweens straight with freak storms?
Sandy was last year, huge devastation, super storm, etc.
The year prior was a freak snowstorm that also yielded lots of downed power lines, etc.
I really hope that this Halloween the weather is, at the very least, average / normal.

If they did Zep (which seems to fit with most of cover themes), I’d prefer 4 or In Through The Out Door.
But, you can’t really go wrong with that catalog.
I like the Springsteen idea because of the Jersey theme. I like Zeppelin because it seems like it’s long overdue. But really, I like Thriller most for the 30th year. In light of the story from their first gig…

Thriller is interesting…its only about 2/3 of a set long. They have been teasing it for years. Remember–this is not going to be a full out “costume” night. Standard ticket prices indicate standard show.

were ticket prices for other costume shows more than normal? I don’t remember that, but, I also never really tried to get tix for a halloween show.
Also, the map on phish.com for fall tour has one balloon in the midwest, but is listed as either AC 10/31 or 11/1 depending on who is looking at it. Mine says the 1st, but have heard that others are seeing the 31st.
From what I understand (and I didn’t pay much attention to the 'ween tickets in 2010) the last one was standard price too…I think the biggest argument against there being a Halloween set is that they did not mention anything “special” going on this year as they did last time they did a halloween set
but as Brett pointed out, there’s an up charge on the download, and I’ll take that as a pointer to halloween show

Either way, I don’t think an extra charge generally means a costume set. Could just be a 3 set show ala NYE.

In 2010, the ticket price was the same on 10/31 as on the other two nights (looked at my stubs), but the LP cost $2 more. Same deal with this year. I highly doubt the band would play a ‘normal’ two-set show on Halloween and NOT announce it ahead of time.
I predict the band comes out as Phish and plays one of their albums front to back in the way they wrote it and will jam it out!
