Shouldn't Trey be off Probation by now?

And back in the loving arms of his fans? Is he still rockin or what?

From what I understand, if he isn’t off probation already, he should be sometime in the near future. I’m sure we’ll get some sort of good news soon enough.

wait…who’s on probation?

What fans?

::rails line::

What did he get, 1 year probation?

I thought it was five, but I’m not sure at all.

I hope he’s doing great and scheming to take over the world again in a much cleaner, more rational fashion.

Yeah, with the shit he was caught with 1 sounds a little tame.

5 sounds harsh, though.

Actually, I just checked…it says that he if successfully completes his drug court program then he gets 5 years probation. If he doesn’t complete it successfully, perhaps 3 years in prison.

Trey is serving life in prison, you fools.

He should be done with the court program atleast now, right?

From Poststar.com, April 13, 2007:
Anastasio’s 15-minute hearing before Judge Kelly S. McKeighan drew a media throng, as the former member of the jam band Phish cut a plea deal that could see him land in state prison for 1 to 3 years if he does not complete the drug court program.

If he does complete the 12-month program, McKeighan will sentence him to 5 years of probation and would entertain a request by Anastasio’s lawyer to withdraw his guilty plead to a felony charge of attempted fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Instead, he would be allowed to enter a subsequent plea to a misdemeanor charge.

“Whether that happens will be up to the judge,” Washington County District Attorney Kevin Kortright said.

Anastasio will be formally sentenced after he either completes the program or fails it. No sentencing date was set.

He was arrested Dec. 15, but not sentenced until April 13. It has been 12 months, but looks like he still has to go back to court for the judge to decide what happens next. I’m sure we’ll hear something soon. We should all email the judge to let him off ha!

Ah, ok, I confused his probation with the 12-month program he’s doing. I think he couldn’t leave New York State under the 12-month program. Is that restriction lifted if he completed the program successfully, and will he be able to tour and stuff while on probation for 5 years?
