Just remembered steve martin and his bluegrass band plays at the minor league baseball stadium here in july too. I totally want to go to that.

Great show. Lera Lynn opened, decent, but wasn’t feeling it at the time. Amazing close to 2 hour set of PB. Encore opened with a Doc Watson tribute. Great show all around. This is the second time I have seen them, and these guys definitely have fun on stage. The banter between songs is great. And all are masters on their instruments.
In the OBX on vacay for the week, so no AC. Bit bummed about that, because it seems like a bit of a rager. Heading to Marco Benevento next Sunday at the chameleon in Lancaster PA. Only $10! Also stoked to see Dr. Dog, Wilco and the Avette Bros at Camden in July. I’m hoping to do some ABB and Further as well.

Sadly, after the next 2 nights in Saratoga I have nothing definitive on my show agenda. I will likely try to attend some or all of moe.down as the line up is pretty good this year. I have to start looking around.

Going to Night 1 of Bob Dylan’s upcoming North American tour! The last show he played was in France, the next show…Lloydminster, Saskatchewan!!! We’ve got GA tix, so basically I’m gonna be front row/drunk as fuck for Dylan in a couple weeks! This is going to be awesome. Lloyd is a tiny border town (Sask/Alberta border) about 4 hours north from here that has a booming oil patch around it, but it is trashy as hell, and I can not wait to see Dylan there.
We might even make our way to Lethbridge, Alberta the next night, as it’s a weekend, so wtf, why not?
The stupid thing is, if you look at the tour schedule, he’s somehow making his way back to Saskatchewan for another two shows in October, which we will most likely be at as well, since one is in Regina.
I know a lot of people have not had many positive things to say about Dylan shows for the last couple of years, but I’ve seen him twice since '06 and I’ve left both shows incredibly happy and just had a great time overall. I hope that a lot of you go check him out this tour, as who knows how many he has left in him.

i know i’m probably pretty much on an island over this one, but a couple nights ago seeing Dead Can Dance in the Pavilion at Millenium Park in Chicago was fucking MENTAL. music, setting, from another planet
