Where’s it at!?!

Beck Tonight

Seeing him at a small venue here. Heard he is killin’ it this tour, mixing it up a lot with songs from most his albums

^Enjoy! Love me some Beck.

I’ve been really tempted to see this one. Never seen ZedZed.

^^Hope you enjoyed Beck. I loved his slower stuff like Sea Change and his new album…I’d imagine it could be a relaxing trip.

Anyway, my Phish fix is satiated for a while. Jimmy Buffett/Fogerty is up next in ten days though I have a feeling that everything I see after seeing Phish just feel a little lacking.

Gov’t Mule, tonight!

Saw Clutch on Friday. They’re working up a new album soon. I’m not this excited about any other band, not even Phish. Killer lyrics, great songs. Come on OKP get in on this shit.

I am flying out to L.A. to see them at The Forum. Anybody else going? I am going solo so I would love to meet up with anyone from the board.

I caught the Joe Russo’s Almost Dead show last night.

Really good show. Definitely check them out if they stop by your town.

Saw Del McCoury & David Grisman last night.

Excellent show.

Short OKP meetup with Brother, taboot taboot.

Almost a last minute decision… but going to see TAB in Piggsburgh tonight.

So last night I saw Possessed By Paul James.

He was cool. First time seeing him.

But I think I was more impressed by one of the opening bands, Texas Plant.

It was like a metal folk band, while PbPJ was just the one fellow playing a few instruments and singing.

Different vibes, guess I was in the mood for a band.

^ Never heard of either of those bands. I’ll check those out.

I got a couple shows coming up in the new year so far.

John Mellencamp - (Valentines day gift for the wife)
Greensky Bluegrass - (Valentines day gift for me)
Dr. Ralph Stanley and Family - (check off my bucket list)

Kreutzmann, Hart, Lesh, Weir, Anastasio, Hornsby, Chimenti.

:wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

^ just read that.

Soldier Field will be rocking for 3 days over July 4th.

Railroad Earth tonight, woohoo.

So, I had tickets to Bruce Hornsby in Regina on June 19, just two weeks before the Chicago Dead run. Turns out I got an email today saying that the Hornsby show has been cancelled due to a ā€œscheduling conflictā€. Boy, I wonder what that could be?

Also, I’m going to Chicago bitches!

Not really a show per say, but gonna go see this…

R.E.M. by MTV’ Hits U.S. Movie Theaters for One Night This May

http://www.fathomevents.com/event/rem-by-mtv/more-info/details

As R.E.M. is one of my all time favorites, this 2 hr showing should be pretty cool as the film traces R.E.M. in real time with rarely-seen performance footage, exclusive interviews with the band, and more.

So it wasn’t on my agenda…

But saw The Rolling Stones Saturday night.

And wow wow wow. They put on an amazing show.

It really gave me good hope for another 30 years of Phish (at least).

How did you get tix? What was the highlight? Did you see 20 Feet From Stardom? Still the same back up singers?

Bought a cheap ticket that morning through ticketmaster. they had a few left.

Ended up standing in the handicapped section next to a friend.

Just about everything was a highlight, Keith Richards was a bit off at very rare times. Missed a note here or there. Mick Jagger is the best frontman I have ever seen, hands down. Just completely amazing.

But if I absolutely had to pick one highlight, Midnight Rambler. Way extended, a few different jam sections.

Worth every dollar, so glad to finally tick them off my list, and would go again. Still riding pretty high three days later.
