I was at that Merriweather show and I don’t remember seeing you. Which one were you?

That was a bizarre experience, from getting into that venue, to a strange setlist, and an otherworldly aftershow scene in the lots with mounted police and helicopters circling overhead. Felt like a scene from Escape From New York with Kurt Russell.

Did I ever tell you the NICU from that show was my request? Only a hundred times no doubt.

I don’t know, they have so many great segues. My favorite was the encore from 4/3/98 Carini->Halleys->Tweeprise. It still remains as my number one encore from any show, even that Sabotage from 8/8/98.

There was a sweet sweet SWEET Tweezer -> Izabella segue from 12/6/97 at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Man, I love that, especially when that Izabella guitar starts to kick in. Anyone notice that a lot of great segues come out of Tweezers? It’s a magical song.

the post-Isabella funk jam might be my favorite funk breakdown they ever did. plus there’s a nice segue into Twist right at the end of it.
