Simpsons

Good call on the Mr. Sparkle reference! That episode KILLS me. In fact most of the Japanese refrences and jokes really appeal to me for some odd reason.

Mr. Sparkle banishes dirt to the land of wind and ghosts

Been waiting years for season 6 to come out on dvd. finally, no more computer copies!

It was “I call the big one Bitey.” But good call on that line, Matt Groening claims that it’s his favorite of all time. Monorail is Conan’s best.

Trilogy of Error is a great episode. However it is a parody of Tom Tykwer’s film Lola Rennt or Run Lola Run. This is a great film and will give you a whole new appreciation of the Simpsons episode in question. In fact I highly recommend Run Lola Run to anybody who can get past subtitles as well as Tykwer’s The Princess and the Warrior. Both films are highly stylized and super fast paced and should impress you guys!

Why does everybody keep using Lemon of Troy on their top 5? Is there something Im missing? I don’t think that this episode stands up to the quality level set by the others we are discussing. Anybody care to elaborate?

lemon of troy just has lots of great moments. “Your name is also Millhouse? so this is what its like when doves cry.” and i cant think of any right off the top of my head, but its friggen brilliant i dont know why

rocky V + rocky II = rocky VII adrian’s revenge

yes, eat all of our shirts!

stupider like a FOX!

LOOK! SOMEBODY’S ATTRACTIVE COUSIN!

lemon of troy is a thoughrally outstanding episode. TUTE ON SON, TUTE ON!

now let’s all celebrate, with a cold glass of turnip juice

From imdb.com:

To celebrate the Simpsons’ tenth anniversary, Entertainment Weekly asked creator Matt Groening to select his ten favorite episodes of the show. His choices were:

 1. Bart the Daredevil (1990)
 2. Life on the Fast Lane (1990)
 3. Much Apu About Nothing (1996)
 4. A Streetcar Named Marge (1992)
 5. In Marge We Trust (1997)
 6. Homer’s Enemy (1997)
 7. Treehouse of Horror VII (1996)
 8. Natural Born Kissers (1998)
 9. Krusty Gets Busted (1990)
 10. There’s No Disgrace Like Home (1990)

i thought that page saying pothead (poh-theed) was great. it did fizzle at the end but i laughed from start to end. also, phish did not preform antelope together for the show. they recorded it seperately at different times. i read that somewhere. also robot chicken is some of the funniest shit out there.

The copy they used of Antelope for their show was from some show in '92 or '93. I have it somewhere, and you can put them up to each other and it is identical. The Simpsons signal at the end is even there.

(Homer puts the giant metal donut in his living room and drinks a beer on top of it in his underwear.)

Marge: Homer! Where did you get that?

Homer: Get what?

Marge: That giant donut.

Homer: Well, I acquired it legally. You can be sure of that.
