I love old Metallica … my favorites are Master of Puppets and …And Justice for All, and I have to admit I like the black album quite a bit.
Big fan of Van Halen too. And of Van Halen II.
Been into KISS most of my life, don’t know how the f**k that happened.
Wife’s favorite metal bands are AC/DC & Black Sabbath.
Also a huge fan of Prince; go figure.
i went on a metal binge on btjunkie and got the complete collections of
Slayer, Metallica, Pantera, Anthrax, Megadeth, for the thrash
and then primus for alt. and zep for classic
soo much music… .soo little time

I’ve seen Slayer five times, and they have never failed to put on an amazing show. Fucking phenomenal.

Guess I’m a real man after all. Not too big on Slayer, though I don’t hate them. Current fave is Opeth, check 'em out.
Well, I guess I’m not a man. I don’t like, and never really have liked metal. It’s one of those VERY few genres I never got into.

i like the more experimental stuff they do where the guy actually sings and you can hear what he’s saying and recognize a melody. That stuff’s really good. Can’t say i’m too into the ones where the guy growls and its all just a mesh of sound, although they are better at that than most bands.

I’m a big metal Phishhead, especially back in the day. I love GNR, Metallica, Pantera, Slayer…all that stuff. I STILL go to Iron Maiden concerts when they come around. I know Slayer is touring this summer opening for Marilyn Manson.

can’t think of any proper metal bands i’m a big fan of but i love the Misfits, old and new and they aren’t too far from metal, especially Danzig.
But now that i see we’re including shit like G 'n R, well i like some Guns and Roses sure. I just don’t care much for the growling double bass meshed all together metal that most bands are.

Ever hear of Testament? They were very heavy and had kick ass tunes… loved them. Also used to love VoiVod. Far out metal/thrash, technocratic manipulators… from Canada.
