Slip Stitch and Pass

yeah SS and P’s mikes song is the mikes song that basically fully got me into phish

Bingo. Kind of a random pick to me too… there were SO many great Europe '97 shows.

SSAP was the record that got me into phish … and i still love it dearly to this day …

…arena jam rock -> SSAP -> funkified Phish…

the talking during the beginning of weekapaug is so great.

I WANNA COOK YOU BREAKFAST!
CAN I BORROW THE CAR???/

i agree, the mike’s groove is pretty sick. mike drops some bombs!!!

All I have to say is “Jesus Just Left Chicago”…

I need to listen to this one more!

Just busted this cd out the other day and i forgot what i was missing out on

I love this disc

Does anyone know of a good place to get high-quality recordings (preferably sbd’s) from Europe '97? eTree has some but nobody is ever seeding them.

There is none for the Summer tour, but there is a few for the Winter tour:

^ after you dl a show how do you get the songs, or the shows to work?

You need to unzip the files, and then it should just be MP3’s.

Try UltimateZip in your google bar.

^thank you
i just found a program for my mac that should work right

why not the whole show, I’ve always wondered… ?

I love this disk it’s one of the first that we as a family owned of phish the other being Hoist and I have to say that the recording is perfect. If only the soundboard recordings sounded like that every time.

I have been listening to Slip a shit ton lately.

Mike was so hot. It’s unbelieveable. Cities. Wolfman’s. I believe it was Thom who called it “dope”. You are correct, sir.

Just picked this disc up this week. The Doors ‘The End’ tease, “Mother… Can I borrow the car?” is just hilarious. I love this band’s sense of humour.

My car is in the shop and unfortunately I left most of my CD spindles in the car when I had it towed. I found SS&P in an old cd case. It has been a couple years since I gave this disc a proper listen. What a great live release. In Cities, Trey singing:

“I’m checkin’ em out
I’m checkin’ em out
Are those things real? NIIIICE!”

had me cracking up…

While the Wolfman’s had me busting white boy funk moves all over the driver seat.

I’m pretty sure he is saying nein (no in German, not sure how its spelled). This show was in Germany and from what I remember reading back in the day they were all out at a restaurant/bar the night before and Trey asked the waitress if her rack was real, to which she replied nein.

Was actually listening to this a few days ago. The quality is so good, it blows away most of the LP releases. I’m really glad they included Hello My Baby. You can almost feel the buzz from that show as everyone is laughing/applauding their acapella rendition. Europe 97 is a thing of beauty.
