I like a few beer buzz, but 99% of the time at any show I like the kindage!
I’m usually cool with a beer and a hit or two. Nice and mellow!

With drinking, I almost never drink at Phish shows. There’s been a few non-Phish shows where I got trashed but that usually involved a lot of pre-show drinking and was often for a show where it wasn’t the end of the world if I had to miss a song or two for constant piss breaks.
Strangely, I went to more shows sober (no weed) than I do now. Guess, I never thought to bring weed to the shows then but smoking a bowl before the show and maybe at setbreak never hurts anything. If I’m sober though, that’s no big deal either. I’ve only tripped at one show and that was my first Disco Biscuits show (a scorching show though).

I usually have a couple of beers and that’s it.
Back in the day, I would definately puff the magic dragon, and have a few beers.
But I haven’t puffed in almost 7 years. So I think that puffing is (most likely) out of the question.
Like to be able to maintain a clear head and remember the show. And be able to drive home after without fear of the po-po.
But if I’m camping at the Creek, all is out the window. Drinking all day, and night. But never to the point where I get obnoxious drunk.

I’ll enjoy the bowl or two or three at an outdoor show. I haven’t been bold enough to try it at an indoor show just yet. If it’s an indoor show, we’ll usually smoke a J before the show on the ride up.
But, the other day, I was just having a conversation about this with a good friend of mine. I was telling him how much of an amazing time I had at the first night at Yonder. I usually go to shows with him, but he only got a ticket for the second night, so I was solo for the first night. And I was telling him how I gave a ride up to a bunch of people who were looking for one. On the way up, we burned one and there were a lot of people, so I only got a few hits. So, anyways, I was telling him how I wasn’t even stoned and I just could NOT stop moving and having such a god damn good time, with smiles on my face at times that were definitely not from the weed two hours before… and we were talking about how that was a mark of a good band. A band that you don;t need drugs to make sound better.
I puff hard y’all. Before, during, after. Y’all wouldn’t be able to keep up.
