so we all agree that “Jennifer Dances” and “Saw It Again” are still gonna be in rotation?
Saw it Again opener would be so completely sick
I’m serious.
Now that, my friends, is a damn shame.
When have they ever played Riker’s Mailbox?
Hmmm…
I do not think we will see ‘Talk’ again. I however believe that Dog Log is game.
^ Yeah I agree that Talk on 2/25/03 bustout was horrible. Trey couldn’t reach the high notes anymore.
^^^Riker’s Mailbox has NEVER been played live. So is it really “shelfing” it if they’ve never played it live? Perhaps more a more pressing question is if a tree falls in the forest, and no one is around to hear it, will it sound like riker’s mailbox?
Lushington
i’m gonna go out on a limb and say we’ve seen the first and last performance of ‘Grind’.
Not the first.
Wednesday, December 30, 1998
Madison Square Garden, New York, NY
Set I: Chalk Dust Torture, Big Black Furry Creature from Mars, Wilson > Roggae, Sparkle, The Moma Dance, The Old Home Place, Sample in a Jar, Frankie Says, Maze, Loving Cup, Reba
Set II: Down with Disease, Piper, Prince Caspian, The Squirming Coil -> Slave to the Traffic Light
Encore: Grind, Possum
Show Notes: Moma included Manteca teases. Coil included Piper teases and featured an atypical jam that segued into Slave. Grind, a short song written while the band was recording Billy Breathes, made its debut and was dedicated to a fan injured in a lacrosse accident. It featured Tom Marshall on vocals. Possum included Wipeout teases. For this show, the Holiday Run dancers were dressed as nymphs
I’m pretty sure we won’t get another “Dickie Scotland Song.”
i agree with no more dave’s energy guide
Tears of a Clown
huh. shows how much i know.
^yeah i actually just figured that out the other day from some blog that was a Hampton Review. He had it listed the last time they played it. I did’nt think it had ever been played either. I’ve also heard of a private show they did in 93 where they played it also. I don’t know how much of that i believe though.
BBFCFM is my guess.
As unfortunate as it is, I’m afraid we’ll never see All Things Reconsidered again. A shame too, because I always thought that was so damn cool.
Also, Crimes of the Mind. That will not happen again. Ever.
^ You never know. They Played it in 03 w/ Dude of Life i’m pretty sure.
^^Based on Mike’s interview in the latest Relix, I fully expect to see an ATR or two on this tour
