Sooo freakin' pumped!

FUCK YES.
FUCK.
YES.

I haven’t bought any of the last few Phish releases. Colorado '88, 12/29/97…I dunno. I just much prefer the DVDs and Live Phish releases. I’m old fashioned like that.

Fuck yeah, what a great pick for the next release.

thats too bad. :-/

LOVE this Stash!

When they first dive into the “maybe so, maybe not” lyrics, you can tell by Treys playing this version is going somewhere.

SO this is LivePhish download only?

seriously??

Hell fucking YES! Bout time…I wish they would start releasing these on DVD instead of the post-hiatus trash like Brooklyn.

i get this way too. then, out of the blue, when least expected, Phish makes some kind of comeback that kicks my ass for a few weeks. that’s what’s happening now. let’s seeeee…which show/set/song should i listen to now? i’ve never heard any of the GCH shows from 91, maybe i’ll delve into one of those…

i’ve gotta tell you guys, as much as i enjoy this stash, i don’t enjoy it nearly as much as the stash -> catapault from a month earlier.

it’s up!

LivePhish fucked me out of $10 the last time I purchased a show.

eh.

I have the SBD of this Stash, do I need the rest?

well, the entire show is classic '95 Phish.
your “SBD” is really an FM feed, too.

if you are into SBD’s, i’d pick it up.

If I could just buy the second set of this show only, I’d be downloading it as we speak. You can only have so many “well played but nothing interesting” first sets before you get tired of paying for them.

Im nervous about purchasing the video. 12/29/97 is really good. But 12/31/95 …not that great. Id be inclined to think that the quality of video would be closer to 12/31/95,since this is from 95. Although the images they have up on LivePhish look pretty good. Conundrum.

:-/

personally, i’d rather have a well played show, than one with one big HIGHLIGHT.
this one happens to have both.
maybe you would be more inclined to buy the “best of” series.
a

Id agree with both of you. I think it depends on the frame of mind you have towards listening to Phish, which for me can vary. I go through periods when I could completely avoid listening to first sets, and otherwise standard versions of songs, preferring to weed them out and get straight to the “Meat of a show” or those instances in which the band clearly broke new ground. A few months ago I was addicted to listening to

4/3/98- but only the second set.
2/28/03- but only the Tweezer->SSP->Bowie
12/29/95- only the Real Gin
11/02/96- only the C&P-> Antelope
7/03/95- only Timber->Bowie->JBG->Bowie

Recently I’m addicted to listening to shows from beginning to end and marvel at how they outdid themselves from one night to the next.Its been a fun challenge to find a first set standard that really strikes achord within. Lately its been associated to a certain string of shows or Tour, like

Fall 97, November 98, Summer 94, fall 95

i always listen to complete shows.
i cant just listen to one set.
as for 4-3-98 II, it is my all-time favorite SET, but that set alone, doesnt make it a good SHOW.
12-29-95 i feel is a SOLID SHOW, which happens to have the “REAL GIN”, which i’m not the hugest fan of.
a

that show sucks, just like 12/31/95, 10/31/94, 10/31/96, 11/17/97, and 4/3/98.
