I like.
Haven’t listened to them in forever though…
Probably not since Bonnaroo when Mike Doughty played.
It was a gooooooood show.
He played ‘Circles’ and I raged.

El Oso is a really good album. ‘Super Bon Bon’ was ripped off by Ricky Martin. Seriously, they sued him over it.
I really like RUBY VROOM. Soul Coughing had great instrumentation and great lyrics. Not to mention a great sound.
They would be very accdeptable and popular by today’s musical standards. I feel that a comeback is inevitable.
Been listening to a little bit of Soul coughing and A LOT of Mike Doughty lately. I found an old Soul Coughing album (El Oso) and got back into them after a LONG hiatus. Too long.
Doughty’s lyrics are just amazing.
I used to really like them. They were a good discovery too. I was in a small record store in Greenwich about 6 or 7 years ago and came across El Oso, I’d never heard of them before but really liked the album art and it was only a fiver so it was a spur of the moment purchase. I slightly recognized ‘circles’ the first time I heard it but I don’t know where from. I picked up Irresistible Bliss a few months later but it didn’t grow on me like El Oso did. I haven’t listened to them in ages.
2004? That was a great show.
My roommates in college used to play them all the time, I def dig their sound.
