At first I despised BOAF, but then it grew on me. My first PH show was IT and they tore it a new one. Wilson, though quite the rocker, grew a little stale for my tastes. I can still have fun, while flocking outside.
Tough one for me since I really like them equally for different reasons. If this were further delineated to only the early Wilsons, there would have been no dilemma for me, so based on those versions, I voted Wilson.
My favorite Wilson is from July 4th 99. My favorite Birds…well i havent heard a favorite birds yet!

BOAF doesn’t really excite me too much. I love the tempo and the mood, and that deeee doooo biz, … but lyrically/melodically I don’t really like it very much.
Great jams but they could have played any song and went into those jams!

I often end up looking for shows that feature a good BOAF, but rarely do the same with wilson…gotta go with those birds.

there were a lot of uneventful BOAF jams, but there are a few spectacular ones… so BOAF it is.

This is definitely one matchup where I knew it’d be close.
I never got a “Wilson,” and only got 1 “Birds,” but I still like BOAF better. Just because.
You know, I voted Wilson, but as I gave it more thought, I think I should have voted Birds. There are some Wilson’s that really bug me. It’s the “metal” Wilson’s are the ones that I don’t like all that much. Where as there are plenty of BOAF that I love. I love the jams that follow the deeeeee dooooo’s (how fun is that to type!) So, yeah I voted for Wilson, but should have voted BOAF. Tell you what, if it comes down to one vote, and Wilson wins, I will take a 294 day hiatus from ye ol’ OKP.

This was a tough one, but I had to give it to BOAF because it’s the favorite Phish tune of one of my friends.
I was there and was wishing they were playing something else at the time. I had just heard it 3 shows before in Chicago and was getting quite tired of the tune. Just to spite me they played it the very next show in Cleveland as well! Sorry birds but you burnt me out!
P.S. all those voting against gamehenge songs in these early rounds will be visited by the Phish police and taken away for re-education!
