Vote!
I just don’t know…Divided was one of those first phish songs that I fell in love with, but it just doesn’t do that much for me anymore unless it is a really special version. BOAF is just as hit or miss, if not moreso, but sometimes when it hits it hits me a lot harder than Divided can. This is a toughie…I don’t like voting against anything gamehenge related, and I’ve been tending to vote for a lot of SOTG material in this contest, but I think I’ve got to give it to the Birds in this round.

I was against BOAF for a while. The IT version really struck me as, “oh okay, NOW I get it.” Still no Sky.

for some reason i’m tempted to vote against Divided Sky…
but i didn’t.
as much as i grew tired of the “silent jam” in DS, to disrespect it is to disrespect the original time it happened, and having witnessed a real Silent Jam in the YEM on 12/2/99, i can’t even imagine or vote against the power of what it was like the first time.
BOAF can be great, but for every great BOAF, there are 10+ great Divided Sky’s.
Birds got a bad matchup here. Divided sky owns it. Birds is a cool tune. But Divided sky owns it any day of the week.
^except, perhaps, the elusive 8th day of the week. Birds can have that one.
