Space Antelope
December 7, 1982
Taft School
Watertown, CT.

Space Antelope was Trey’s high school band. This show doesn’t sound
too bad considering its age and rarity. Trey sings on “All along the
Watchtower” but it is unclear if he sings anything else other than
backing vocals on other songs. You can pick him out during the banter
between the band and the crowd though. Highlights include “All Along
the Watchtower”, “Franklin’s Tower”, Rush’s “Hemispheres” and a trippy
“Fluff’s Travels”. This is a rare piece of Phishtory and all you
diehards ought to love it. Enjoy this treat!!! - Weaselfee ;^)

The Space Antelope lineup:
Steve Pollack (The Dude of Life) - vocals
Trey Anastasio - guitar and vocals
Rob “Flash” Gordon - guitar and vocals
Dud Taft - bass
Doug Parsons - drums

Kicks ass!!! Thanks for the linkage…

Nice one! Thanks for the heads up!

Your all welcome… I have just recently figured out how etree works, so I seem to check that everytime I sit down at the computer… I always seem to find atleast three new shows on there each time I check.

Awww d00d Y didnt they jamon hemispheres longer that song kicks asssssssss come back t0 phish trey srtop wasting your time with these shitt bands man peace

gregradiohead… whats the deal? you do realize this is BEFORE phish, right?

i think he may have been a bit wasted when he wrote that…thats my bet at least

^ yeah he came off as a bit surly in that message.

i enjoy early Phish (and this was even before 'early Phish!) b/c you can tell how young they all sound, especially Trey

“You gotta run like Space Antelope outta’ control…”

I really didn’t think it was possible to slur your typing…any comments on this show? It looks cool, but I can’t picture the quality being much to marvel at…

For how old it is… How unimportant the show seemed at the time… The quality truly is amazing. I noticed in “Walk on the Wild Side”, the quality is lower than most of the show, but otherwise it is definitely worth getting.

“Lifespace” is very interesting, and “Fluff’s Travels” is also quite good and different. The “All Along the Franklin’s Tower” is pretty impressive as well… Trey’s playing is definitely notable…

Uhh I was joking because lately everyone has been bitching about Trey and his solo work. Since this was before Phish, I thought you’d all get the joke that I’m some wasted hippie ranting about the newest solo project of Trey without realizing it was actually pre-Phish. If you’re still confused, either forget I said anything or stop drinking/getting stoned so much.

chill baby…just clarify next time

I refuse to stop getting drunk or stoned so much, so consider it ignored.

Why is it that everytime somebody tries to make a joke on these boards people take it the wrong away and a huge fight erupts?! I swear, either we’re the most uptight, petty Phish community ever, or we’re so close to how the band worked that we now have the real answer as to why the band broke up.

^ Oh come on…we’re all friends here…I was just fucking around…but seriously I’m not quitting drugs. ( I am taking a well deserved week off of drinking, however).

Will, is this still around? This would be nice…

Only got it on CD-R brah.

This was back in my days of download>convert>burn>delete.

I was stupid.

Oh, but I can B&P if your interested.
