I’m hearing that they might do WinTrust Arena (new DePaul arena near McCormick) instead of Rosemont. As a city dweller, it’d be easier for me to get to/from Wintrust. Either way, I’m happy if they’ll be back in Chicagoland this year.
I’m in Crystal Lake, so Rosemont would be so much better for me. McCormick Place is kind of a hassle to get to. [1.5 hour Metra ride->Orange Line->Red Line-> China Town-> mile walk]
Ah, that’s right. That makes total sense on the shitty travel. Heck, as much as I like them, I don’t like going to venues like City Winery, Bottom Lounge, or Thalia Hall because they take so long to get to on the EL. Those are almost automatic Lyft/Uber rides for me now.
Rosemont Horizon is kind of like that, but not nearly the 2 hour+ trip you describe below. Montrose bus->Blue Line->Shuttle bus from the Rosemont stop, probably about an hour.
