I love St Patricks Day.
That means I will be eating corned beef and cabbage.
And potato soup.
And having a drink or two.
Happy holidays!

I’m down for any excuse to drink!
Have a merry one everyone!
on this day one year ago, i made a solemn vow never to celebrate the 17th of March again.
looks like i’ll be at the bar by 4.
at least i didn’t go at 7am again.
a day for excessive amounts of jameson and guiness. yessss!
[color=green]Ireland forever"ERIIN GO BRAGH" no drinkin for me tonight im a the DD for all.its true what someone said its a time for abstinence and im showing my freinds that arent irish that is what my family has done , well since i was young abstinence from drinking on this day.but at midnight i will be at a techno party and since it will be the 18th of march ,its on like donky kong doing a BONG
So it’s st. pats and my Irish trio just started belting out there first tunes to my corned beef and Guiness craving patrons, can’t wait till later when the drunks who have been bar hopping all day come by the bar for the big Jamesons soaked sing along
Well after working a double-shift and then playing out with a friends band, I finally get a chance to hop on here and wish a Happy St Patty’s Day do my OhKeePa brothers and sisters. May you all be green and such.
oh god
what
did
i
drink
last night?
::death::
i’ve always avoided car bombs based on the assumption that i imagined them to be disgusting.
but last night when a few of my friends asked if i wanted to do one with them i obliged based on the fact that they had never done one either.
oh man…SOOOOOOOO delicious. The first round was on the house since we’ve known the guy behind the bar for years. The next place we went to they were $7 (fuckin’ Boca) but we just couldn’t resist 2 more rounds.
that sure was a nice time.
Well, I spent St. Patty’s weekend in the Highlands of North Carolina in a $1 million cabin with my good friends like we did last year. It was a rager as was the last one. Too bad this will be the last one up there, because the owner (my friend’s uncle) is selling it to buy a cabin about 5 times nicer…
We smoked green CONSTANTLY, including 3 St. Patty Fatties on St. Patty’s day. We drank about 4 bottles of wine, a 12 pack of sweetwater, a gallon of vodka, a bottle of Kahlua, 2 bottles of bloody mary mix, a bottle of Ryan’s Irish Cream, 2 and a half cases of guiness, and a $50 bottle of Jameson, all between 8 people in 2 full days…
Needless to say, my liver hurts. seriously. my lungs hurt too. what a St. patty’s…
This is all from last year but this is the place. Sorry about the large-ness of them, for I forgot how to make them smaller…
Those are all from the back deck facing the cabin. The next ones do no justice to the place…

This is the view from the back porch.
And this is about a minute and a half down the driveway…

This was possibly the best experience of my life…
Playing music while high on mushrooms and watching the hawks fly in the warm breeze over endless pines. In the words of our very own phishinsky, “nummy.”
^sounds like i moved back too soon.
You know we would have loved to have ya!
Looks like beautiful country
Saturday night…actually Sunday morning…I attended the freakin’ craziest party I’ve been to in a while. My St. Patty’s Day was a nice culmination to a week-long binge called Spring Break.
I love it so much, the Appalachains are sooooo close to Knoxville! It is beautiful country.
justin! damn! aw man, that’s too cool…
it took me a few times looking at that picture to notice the guy dozin’ off on the left.
does his name start with a D by any chance?
These types of experiences are so important to hold onto. Thanks for sharing it with us.
After one trip to Asheville two years ago, I was certain that I wanted to get back to NC and the Smokey Mtns on some type of permanent basis. Just yesterday I sent a link to a real estate listing for a town called Shelby that lies somewhere between Asheville and Charlotte to my son-in-laws to look at. There’s been talk amongst the family about us all making a move to NC in the future. But first we have to go to Conestoga to buy a wagon.
^That would be awesome!
Oh and JB, you are correct. That is Dusty. It’s funny, 'cause I never noticed him laying there in that picture until I posted it yesterday. I’ve had the picture for a year. HA!

I get to go back here tonight!! Apparantly, it’s still in Matt’s family because it hasn’t been sold yet. WOOOHOOO! I can’t wait to look off of the back porch to that amazing view again!
I wish someone would tell me how to make the pictures smaller…
