Steelers or Cards? -make your OKP picks here!

Cards 28-10.

can’t remember the last time i honestly wanted both teams to win the Super Bowl.

but my family’s from Pittsburgh so we’re good, although i do feel kind of sorry for the Cards- especially Warner, who i used to not really like.

but one thing i am sure about is that i made a good deal of cash delivering pizzas tonight and upon review of my video tape, the Boss brought the fucking house down!

…and i don’t mean the boss of the pizza place

Great fourth quarter. Congratulations to the Steelers, they definitely deserve the win. Congratulations to the Cards as well, they played to win and nearly did.

Helluva game, best SB in quite awhile… Last year was good too, but this seemed more enjoyable! Nice win Steelers!

Closest.

I managed to get into the game by the time the Cards made it 20-14. I was glad to see a good game, and also glad to see the Cardinals lose. Them winning the Super Bowl would’ve been gross.

the best part about yesterday was at the bar…first off, I filled up so much on free wings and chili that I couldn’t even really get drunk. Second, as soon as I got there around 5, this one guy I sort of know was shit-faced. totally mowin down chips and salsa, trying to sober up, but he was plain old dumb drunk. So eventually he slips out without anyone noticing. Walks back in to the bar 10 minutes later freaking out…

He drove his car into the snowbank on the boulevard on the busy one-way right outside the bar. Like, all four wheels not touching the ground style. we tried pushing it out for a minute, but it was hopeless. So we all told him to get the F outta there. At least go somewhere for the night, to avoid the DUI, then deal with the impound lot tomorrow. But he kept coming in and out of the bar for another hour. He was so dumb. I was expecting the cops to walk in any minute, but somehow they never did.

Long story short, he called the cops and reported the car stolen, and I don’t know what happened after that…haha. What a retard.

But who hasn’t driven black-out drunk on a Super Bowl Sunday before? I know I did one time, back when I was a freshman in college…never again though.

What an awesome game! Definitely one of the best by far. Gotta love them steelers–and boy does this town love them! Last night this town was ALIVE!

GO STEELERS!!!

<---- this guy.

I liked the Boss but I hate these shortened, two-minute versions that they make these artists do for the Super Bowl. I feel the same way at each one where I like the show but the shortened songs kill it every time. Even Bruce just seemed content to fool around on stage rather than try to do a solid performance…with that much time per song, there’s not much else to do. It was classic Bruce though.

Of course the best is when he tried to get the trained crowd around him to since “Tenth Avenue Freeze Out” and since all those people are hired to jump around and likely didn’t know the songs, they couldn’t sing the lyrics back at him. Good stuff.

I missed the a lot of the first half of the Super Bowl since I was watching the Nadal/Federer replay on ESPN2. I managed to avoid spoilers of who won the match so it was like I watching it live. I’d do it again in a minute…watching those two play is better than any Super Bowl. Yet another incredible match with both with more surprises since there were far more broken serves than in their Wimbledon match. Only bummer was Federer really played poorly in the 5th set so it was obvious who would win but up until then it was top-notch. Sadly, America missed another classic if only because of the time difference.

Super Bowl was sweet. I was bummed out that Warner’s last two Super Bowls had him leading what could have been a game-winning drive only to see his defense blow it. But, I give both teams credit as both had big play after big play. It’s better than last year’s as a whole since last year’s didn’t really get good until the 4th quarter…this one was pretty crazy throughout. How about that…we had two watchable Super Bowls in a row? Who could have thought!?

Commercials? Eh, I didn’t see much. During commercials I was flipping to the Puppy Bowl since that was FAR more entertaining. The Kittys were a bit reserved during the Kitty Halftime show but they’re cats so go figure. I did like the Career Builder commercial with the “Hey Dummy” comment over and over but I can’t even remember the other commercials. Seems like they all try too hard with these ads.

And does ANYONE watch Chuck? Anyone? I don’t know a single person. How is that show still on?

Stevo

I caught the first 2 episodes of Chuck when it debuted but haven’t watched since. Just didn’t do much for me.

On a related note, I may be the only one on here that watches Kath & Kim. It’s good stuff, IMO.

Possibly the best intro ever to the Office last night…

the office was fucking hilarious.

the CPR scene with the dummy literally had me in tears.

<— Me last night ;D

I did pretty good with my prediction.

And I not only got a defensive TD, but the longest play in Super Bowl history!
I think that play won the game. Possibly the greatest play in Super Bowl history.
I can’t wait to see that over and over in those NFL Films shows, in slow-mo.

I thought Ben should have got the MVP after that last drive, but whatever.
They won,…and I won the OhKeePa Fantasy year as well!

Great year of Football!

Now,…When do pitchers and catchers report?

You could have easily given the MVP award to Fitzgerald or Warner, but it’s highly suspect to give it to someone on the losing team. But you could have made an argument for it.

^i was thinking Fitzgerald should have got a co-MVP or something.

but then you’d have to send one person to Disney World and the other to Disney Land and it would just create a lot more logistics for people to figure out.

EPIC.

They’ve only given the Super Bowl MVP to a losing team player once and that was Super Bowl 5 (I think) when the Colts beat the Cowboys and they gave it to some DE for the Cowboys. Dude must have had a hell of a game.

The only other sport I can think of that happening is hockey with the Conn Smythe trophy. I remember Anaheim lost in 7 in 2003 and they gave it to JS Giguerre since he was sick in those playoffs. I wish they would do that stuff more often.

Stevo

They gave it to Manning 2 years ago when they beat the Bears and he had an utterly average game. But to his credit, no one on the Bears was worthy of an MVP trophy either.

Chuck Howley was Super Bowl V MVP.
He played out of his mind in both Super Bowls that he was in:

The only player who I ever thought should’ve won the MVP on a losing team?
Thurman Thomas of the Buffalo Bills.
He was robbed!

WIDE RIGHT!

That was one of my favorite Super Bowls. Top 3 for sure.
