I’ve never heard STS9. I’ve had a chance to see them at a few festivals, but just haven’t had the desire to go. Will, how do you respond to the criticism that all of their jams and shows sound the same? I know that they do have a rabid, pyschedelic-obsessed following who loves to “freak out” at their shows… and that kind of “you have to be tripped out to enjoy a show” mindset kinda turns me off…but like I said, I’ve never heard them.

second to phish, i have more fun at sts9 shows than anyone else. fortunately ive been seeing them since 99 so i cant be too upset about missing a show.
In all honesty, I don’t know much of the music of STS9… It is not a band I really sit down and listen to… But their shows are just naaaasty, with 4-a’s.
phg…i saw them for only the second (and third and fourth) time in amsterdam this year, and i was very impressed…
i was tripping out though

no seriously, check em out. i could see someone saying they stick to the ‘electronic’ genre, but they have a very diverse sounding catalogue imho
I’m sure their at 10k this year. They seem to be at EVERY festival…maybe I’ll see them there
