What would you guys do if the summer tour included horns?
Phish 3.0 with horns, I’d die a happy man.
Anyone think that will happen or am I just really stretching it here?

If I wanted that I would’ve gone to a TAB show. Maybe a set or a few songs, like Icc said.

Stretching way back I can’t even remember how many times I’v heard at a show…Horns here…Summer 91 is one of my favorite tours so I would love it if it happened however I just don’t see how the sound fits the horns quite like it did in 91…Shorter (and often more concise) versions of most tunes and the seemingly thirsty appetite for mega jamming doesn’t fit well with TEH_HORNS. Would I dig it hell yeah…Trey show? horns? even mildly comparable to Mikes at arrowhead with Grippo in the white suite and Mike and Trey bouncin on the tramps? Not even in the same ballpark

I’ve always wanted the Phish w/ GCH.
I think it’s very possible. Not a tour, but a few shows and/or festival set.
I used to have dreams about it. Maybe those dreams will come back, now that the Phish is back!

A show or two would be okay but not a whole tour. I loved them with the Giant country horns but the jams were much shorter due to the added members and difficulty of trying to improvise with treys crazy improv. If you listen to the shows in 91 with Giant Country, you will notice that you really only hear the horns at the chorus’s of songs and it starts to get very repetitive.
I will say that it adds some much added spice to the typical phish sound. But too much starts to get old imho.

yeah a few songs would be cool mabey at a venue or two if it was someone real famous. but i dont think i dig it every show
