Geez, long island isn’t that bad at all.
Pfffft. West Coast rules all your asses.

I think the inspiration and “Farm Housieness” of this is good.
::Hangs head in shame for agreeing with Ship::
Nice booty dooj.
Less than one month before I get some live Trey. ![]()
I’m assuming you’re still in Vermont? That’s why. I couldn’t believe it when Trey sold his house in Vermont and moved to fucking Long Island of all goddamn places in the whole country. LONG ISLAND FOR FUCKS SAKE! You go from having a huge property with views of Mount Mansfield and Camels Hump to having a… nice house in some piece a shit fuckin place in one giant, 100-mile-long suburb called Long Island. Aaarrggh. He said it was because he was “getting stir-crazy up there” in Vermont, but that’s what happens to a man when you come into the country, for fucks sake. You get stir crazy. You get cabin fever. It produces phenomenal music, quite often. Much of Phish’s older music is steeped in the Vermont winter, seething with every bit of heat it can muster but cold at its core and not sorry for it. It’s the sensibility that can only come from living in a place that is special, despite the fact that Vermont is not very remote.
It’s a special place that produces special music, and now they’ve all abandoned it except for Mike. And maybe Page but definitely Mike is still in VT. And you can fucking tell, big time. I love almost everything Phish is doing right now (almost, I said), but they really need to all go up to Mike’s house in January and get right down to business. I bet you’d have one hell of a record then.
/angry soapbox rant
hmm. i thought fish was the only one living full time in VT still. not that i keep up on all the “TMPhZ” if you will, but it was just around reunion that Fish was getting drama because he wanted to build a wind turbine on his farm on Lake Champlain to power his property but was getting shot down over “sight pollution”… no? i guess he coulda left state over that…
anyway, i wouldn’t be surprised if Mike still has a place up there, but i know he lives in/around NYC a good part of the time because i have a friend who lives on manhattan and sees him in Whole Foods regularly.
no idea about page, but then he was always the quiet one

trey’s place (unless he moved yet again) isn’t on long island, but rather upriver from NYC… i forget where exactly but its north up the hudson and on the west side of the water. i think i read like DeNiro lives there. i mean… c’mon.
oh, and in case it needs to be said, no haterade. just wondering what’s accurate and hoping to clarify.

Man!!! i think either there are a shit ton of people trying to see TAB at the Higher Ground or scalpers got a shit ton of tix. The presale for the Vermont show sold out in under 5 minutes. Looks like I’ll be waiting in line bright and early Saturday.
Good luck, bro!
Page might be getting some fan(boi) mail.
A heads up to people heading to the TAB show in Baltimore…the venue’s balcony isn’t the best, you can pretty much only see if you’re right on the railing. So I advise ya’ll to head in earlier rather than later. Also, enjoy the show for me…cause I live 30 minutes away but can’t make it
caught a cold waiting for my TAB tickets. ![]()
