ok, we’ve all heard some Tela theories, but what is yours?
ZZYZX has his theory, i’ve heard tons of them though. some guys got high and started thinking different things about tela. some of them make sense.
can we have an example of what one of these theories is? I’m clueless.
Too many theories, like at phish.net where there’s a whole page about what the words to llama might be. I agree with Icculus, after all, he watches over Gamehenge so he knows all about Tela. Anyway, here’s the story:
Tela was born in a vulgar crooked hut

Venomous scorn from a life of bitter toil

Glory esteem fueled by her hatred it grew
Swelling to the point where it would
Burst at the seems there was nothing she could do
She later had her throat ripped out by Rutherford the Brave because she, in fact, worked for Wilson.

i really have no idea. that’s why i’m asking you. yeah, phish.net (best website ever besides this one) has some stuff claiming that a lot of people have tela theories. like, she never really did work for wilson. a bunch of crazy shit. like, my friend thinks the sloth killed tela because of some crazy crap from the past…

why would someone want to make up their own part of someone else’s story? I think if Trey wanted us to think about her more, he would have written more about her.
It’s a shame they never got around to making a movie (animated or not) about gamehedge. That would’ve stopped the ambiguity right in its tracks.
for a while i was thinking making a gamehendge movie would be cool, but man… there is a chance it could suck, and it would wreck gamehende forever. they wouldn’t use the original recordings, they would get bad hollywood actors/actresses, it would get commercial, it would no longer be a special thing we phans have.
I think Tela is a beautiful song, at any rate.

exactly. i have refused to play gamehendge with the narrationsto my friends, as then i could not just start talking and confuse them.
yeah, but i don’t feel they are worthy of hearing it. most of them hate phish.
TMWSIY always came off as an old school Disney movie to me. The Lizards always reminded me of Under the Sea from The Little Mermaid. And I think it would work in that way. Getting real people to do it would suck, and using the computer generated animation would suck too, it would have to be hand drawn.
i could never really see it becoming something EVERYONE would know about if it came out as a movie, it would just be like watching tracking or bittersweet motel or something, just another phish dvd that a bunch of phans could enjoy. it would never get beyond that. it’d also be tight if mike directed it…

Yes of course i have heard TMWSIY… but I can’t understand what tela theories he could be talking about/ It’s pretty cut and dry to me, just listen to the song … then i started reading about animation and I completely couldn’t follow… 
I Think that the TELA THEORIES they are talking about are silly ideas peolpe made up about TMWSIY. I’ve heard one along the lines that Tela was not really a spy for wilson and was killed by mistakes or something like that. i think thats what antellma was looking for. i think they have something about it on Phish.net

Sometimes, obsessed and totally stoned people read things into songs/art/literature that are TOTALLY based on self-relevent ideas, theories, and hypothesis. There is no theory that is relevant to TELA…it’s just silly and sad.
