hey guys, i need your help in making an important decision
The Disco Biscuits and the Dark Star Orchestra are playing the same 2 nights in NYC for the THanksgiving Shows run.
I’m not sure if I wanna see both nights of Bisco fun, or finally get a chance to check out Dark Star Orchestra. I’ve never seen them before and I think it’ll be a blast. However, i feel like i’m gonna miss something if i skip one of the bisco shows. lemme know what you think. thanks so much for your help!
Even though I had a great time at the two Bisco shows I caught at Wakarusa this year, I am just not sold on them. Definitely fun while I was there, but not something I would listen to.
So my vote goes to 6 nights of Phish, and 1 night of Dark Star Orchestra.

Everyone should check out DSO at least once. I saw them about 5 years ago. Albeit it was before I was really into the GD, but fantastic nonetheless. They have some serious chops. I mean, for God’s sake, they RE-CREATE ENTIRE GD SHOWS!
Plus you’re still getting 1 night of Bisco!

well i was gonna do moe. for NYE and/or my birthday (Dec. 30th) if i can swing a ticket from somewhere since its sold out.
i hate when this sort of thing occurs, kinda like my dilema with bisco or trey for new years, i just don’t know, a lot of times when this happens i’ll just find something totally different to do, b/c if i go to the one event, im wishing i was at the other, we humans are difficult to please so i try to fool myself
i don’t really know either, i’d check out DSO. I don’t know what it is with the biscuits, i just don’t have a huge burning desire to see them, i think it’s the electronica aspect of it, who knows

and the other dilemma is, if i chose to go to one night bisco one dark star, i dont know which one to go to first. damn this scene and all its fun quirks, on opening and or closing nights, i dont wanna miss anything cool!!!

…but maybe ill go to disco biscuits the first night, and if it rocks the house down and i’m satisfied i’ll go to Dark Star the next night, i don’t know, does this plan sound legit? i need to learn to make my own decisions.
^sounds legit to me, especially if your a big bisco fan. Can’t go wrong with your plan as stated above
DSO plays pretty darn often and it’s not like there going to play something that hasn’t been played before, def check them out at somepoint though.

I’d much rather see DSO on NYE.

You have to ask yourself, in the confusion of setting up NYE plans, did I just buy 5 tickets or 6? And being that these are two of the most powerful bands produced by the drive of music, and can melt your face clean off, do you want to go see a superbly recreated Dead show, or dance to the trance? So do you feel lucky Funk…well, do ya?
One and one gets my vote.

Either way, I’d go for one of DSO, one of Bisco.
I actually haven’t heard Bisco before…are they worth getting into? Take into account that I’m more into the indie side of things…
DSO will blow it up… Hit one of each for a mind bending weekend…
