I know Hank I was being sarcastic. You acted like the run the Colts are on has been unimpressive so I had to fire back.
I don’t argue this at all. But when it comes to the MVP of the league, there are no excuses. We’ve seen a number of guys who have had MVP-type seasons and then get injured and it just kills their chances at the award. You don’t just give them the MVP and say “Oh, they were hurt when they weren’t playing well.” There’s NO excuses when it comes to the MVP. I agree that Peyton’s poor performance was due to his injury but you can’t argue that it was still poor performance. NO excuses for the MVP. It sucks that the injury may keep him from winning it but that’s the breaks.
Of course I do. I’ve seen Jon Kitna do it for the last three years. And Joey Harrington do it before then. And Mike McMahon before then. And Charlie Batch before then… ;D
And let’s be fair…Peyton’s not putting up “crazy numbers”…heck…he’s only hit above 300 yards THREE times this year. He’s just had some “crazy wins.”
And I wouldn’t say a thing about Rivers as MVP…Making him the MVP would be a joke. Besides, if you’re picking a QB on a bad team that has carried a team, it would be Brees, not Rivers…that Saints team has basically the same record, a worse defense, a tougher division, and Brees has FAR better numbers than Mr. Rivers. Though, I wouldn’t make Brees the QB either. Teams that hover around .500 don’t have an MVP on their team.
If I had to choose an MVP, it’d be a defensive player from one of the top teams. Someone from the Steelers, Titans, Dolphins, Ravens, Giants…almost all the best teams in this league have been carried by defense, not offense. Of course, this is all just silly talk since we can’t have an MVP who’s not a QB or RB…

No one here realistically thinks the NFL will name Pee Rivers its MVP, do they? Even if they beat Denver in get in from the putrid AFC West, Rivers will NOT be named MVP.
^ The TRUE MVP rarely gets it. So i agree.
Kurt Warner will probably win it for a 3rd time UGG.
Yeah right…Warner had the award and has pretty much lost it the last couple of weeks. How about that performance in New England. 30 yards passing.
Mark my words. Peyton Manning will win the MVP award. You just watch.
who thinks the Lions can cover the 10 point spread against Green Bay?
AFC east big day.

went to the Viqueens game today. It was a good time.
we played toe-to-toe with NY and led at the half, then sucked it up in the 3rd. quarter, but we still pulled it out, 20-19.
home game against the Eagles next Sunday…then maybe a rematch with the Giants!!
feels good to win the division for the first time in a while, even though I still hate Childress.

I’m feeling the Eagles today. Nice job on beating up on Jerry Jones and his band of prima donnas.
