I can’t believe Peyton has lost both times in his new home! that last sec FG must’ve been gut-wrenching. I watched the whole game

You can tell the Colts have lost a step.

Back between, say, 03-06, you knew that every time they stepped on the field they were capable of hanging 50 on your.

Not so much, now. It kind of sucks, actually. It’s not like college when crops of new great freshmen come in every year (Purdue last year!). It’s going to be real weird seeing another QB in a Colts uniform. Kind of like in GB. And NE, to some extent.

I still have alot of confidence in the offense actually. I don’t think they have necessarily lost a step. The O was solid all day…except for the 2 interceptions, which Jacksonville scored 14 points off of. The problem is back to the run defense. Jacksonville had over 260 yards on the ground. The Colts had the ball for 4:00 minutes in the 2nd half. They got completely outplayed and still almost won the game because Peyton did his thing when he needed to.

I don’t know I thought the Colts stole another one until that last pass interference call on 4th and 1. I don’t know how it came across on TV, but at the game it looked uncatchable and a bogus call. I saw the ref throw the flag…He was 30 yards behind the play. I’ve never seen Dungy react the way he did. After the game he was in that offical’s ear all the way to the locker room. I just wish the players could decide the outcome on the field.

No excuses though…Jacksonville outplayed us. They were more physical. And this with their offensive line banged up.

yeah, it was kind of a b.s. interference call. On tv you could see Dungy taking off his headset, ready to run on to the field and then realizing the game wasn’t quite over just yet.

the packers are keeping T.O. and Romo in check so far. I hope they can keep the score down and then pull out a victory against the cowgirls. I’ve never cheered so hard for Brett Favre’s replacement before! it’s weird

GO DOLPHINS!!!

may the empire be damned!

Which is more true: The Dolphins are a vastly improved team, or the Patriots just don’t have it anymore after Brady went down? Or both?

There are some people who think the Dolphins are a sub-.500 team. What does that say when that team can go into NE and smack around a team that hasn’t lost a regular season game since November of 2006?

no matter how much they’ve improved (which isn’t THAT much imo), the fact is that they went 1-15 last year and just creamed the Pats in Foxboro.

'nuff said.

Agreed. The Dolphins are not a playoff team, and they trounced NE in Foxborough.

Although, sadly, the Pats/Colts game just won’t be the same this year…

Wait…so the Colts get rid out their awesome, EXTREMELY-Loud stadium and replace it with this aired-out new stadium with more luxury boxes which isn’t nearly as loud and you’re surprised they’re losing? As always, home field advantages are getting less and less with every new stadium. Besides, doesn’t J-Ville ALWAYS beat them every year with a last second field goal? It’s like a tradition now.

Besides, I think Peyton’s time rehabbing has really effected his rhythm and timing. But he’ll get it back…he’ll be back to old Peyton in a few weeks. They’ll be fine.

I think they finally just remembered that they won by RUNNING the ball.

And the Dolphins just got up for a big opponent…they’ve done that in the past where they rise up and beat the Pats even they’re terrible…remember that Monday Night game a few years ago? I don’t think Ronnie Brown will ever have a game like that again and no other team is going to be fooled by all those direct snaps and sneaky looks…not to mention they have Chad Pennington as their QB. NE’s D is not as good as advertised…but they’re still good. We’ll see on them.

And don’t worry, ghost…the Lions have never had a good QB either. Yeah Eric Kramer looked okay for a year and a half until he got hurt but that’s it. In fact, we’ve never really had a good anything aside from running back and maybe Linebacker. Oh, and Charlie Sanders too…he was good. And Jason Hanson…he’s a good kicker. Sigh… Here’s to 0-16. Maybe Millen will get fired then. MAYBE.

any way you look at it, the “unstoppable” Patriots got taken to school in their own neighborhood by the “push over” Miami Dolphins. And that’s fucking awesome.

Jacksonville hasn’t beaten the Colts with a last second field goal since 2004. Might I remind you that we swept those Jags last year. I know you were speaking generally though.

Ding Dong the Witch is Dead!!!1

ALLEN PARK, Mich. – Matt Millen is finally out as Detroit Lions team president and general manager. CBSSports.com Senior Writer Pete Prisco confirmed Tuesday that Millen has been fired.

Millen has long been under fire as the Lions, 0-3 this season, have regressed during his tenure that began in 2001. The team is 31-84 during that time.

Millen’s fate may have been sealed when he was ripped by the son of the team’s owner this week after another sloppy loss.

“I think the fans deserve better and if it were in my authority, which it’s not, I’d make some significant changes,” Bill Ford said on Monday.

Asked by a reporter if he believed Millen should leave the team, Ford said, “Yes, I do.”

The Ford Motor Co. executive chairman is the son of William Clay Ford, the franchise’s owner since 1964.

In rare interviews, the elder Ford had stood by his decision to hire Millen in 2001 and to stick with him since then. With Ford atop the franchise, the Lions have won only one playoff game and have an NFL-worst 31-84 win-loss record since Millen took over in 2001.

Finally we can get to losing with some other idiot!

You tell it, Gerald!!

THANK GOD!!! NO MORE MILLEN!! SWEET, SWEET LIBERATION!!!

Seriously, I don’t care if the team still sucks. I don’t care if Ford is a buffoon who will probably hire a new GM who is just as bad. All I know is that I’m dancing in the frickin streets about this news and I’d like to enjoy it for a while. Finally I can actually ENJOY the Lions and maybe have a SMALL amount of hope for the future since there was NONE with Millen still around. Heck, I was almost starting to cheer for the team to suck more so Millen gets fired…now I hope they miraculously turn things around just to shove it in his face.

LET OUR PEOPLE GO!!!

its not gonna save this season

Teh Boob Inspector has spoken!

The Motor City Kitties peaked with Scott Mitchell.

You beat me to it.

As a Colts fan, I’ll begin to seriously worry when we don’t have Manning under center.

Yeah Yeah, I know. It just always seems like last-second heroics are involved with those two teams. I really wish CBS would show them when the play more often…seems like it’s usually a good game.

We know. But I assumed the season was over after Week 2. Heck, I was pulling for an 0-16 season since I assumed that was the only way Millen would EVER be fired. The rest of this season is just gravy. In fact, it’ll probably get even worse since the players will quit on Marinelli since they know he’s a total lame duck coach at this point. Wait…they started their first three games 0-21, 0-21 and 3-21…what are they gonna do?..Start 0-35? Big whup. At least there’s a SMALL amount of hope now…I seriously thought Millen would NEVER be fired…that’s why this is a big deal…it took EVERYONE by surprise.

And dammit, PHG, we peaked with Erik Kramer! Give us some credit, dammit. The big jerk just kept getting hurt.

FIRE LE-WAND!!! (clap clap clapclapclap) FIRE LE-WAND!! (clap clap clapclapclap)

Here’s a question: If Aaron Rodgers does in fact miss a few games with a separated shoulder, what does that mean for the Pack with 2 rookie QB’s?
