I am 99% sure the album the breakfast will be covering in Burlington for their Halloween show at the Higher Ground is going to be Phish’s Lawnboy.

The weekend is upon us!

Oct 25 New Haven, CT
Oct 26 Northampton, MA
Oct 27 Burlington, VT

so, do you already know what they are playing for Halloween, what are they going to cover? tell us if you know, is it Lawn Boy? Rift? ???

Its gonna be Lawn Boy

…and I think that album fits The Breakfast’s sound very nicely.

I will want to hear this for sure.

It def fits their sound nicely.

Just went over to their board and read that they started a full rehearsal of Lawn Boy (most likely as tonight’s soundcheck). It was telling people to come down early and check it out. I’m still sitting at 99% confirmed until I hear the opening vocals to Squirming Coil at the Higher Ground.

Saturday night is going to be a fucking party!

wednesday night will be the party

wish it wasn’t so far away, i hope they nail the shit out of lawn boy, so so many jems, lawn boy is my fav studio album

albumn.

** with ‘Sunday Bloody Sunday’ (U2) tease.
    ^ with Reba (Phish) tease.
    ^^ Thought: “I Enjoy Yourself”

Gloria Gaynor cover; first time played; Mike Gordon on bass (wearing Matt’s baseball head mask); Ron on guitar; Tim on vocals (dressed and singing as Tony Clifton).

with ‘Moby Dick’ (Led Zeppelin) intro

I’ll post the show as soon as it’s available. Video was also done but I’m not sure when, if at all, it will circulate.

can’t wait to listen to how it went down

noice.

kinda cool how they split it up into two sets.

Wow…this is new. I get to hear Phish be covered.

Weeeeeiiirrrdd…

Stevo

String Cheese Incident and Umphrey’s McGee have covered Phish…

Raq too maybe? This mind isn’t what it ever was…

Well yeah…but I mean an entire album and stuff. And I know Bisco used to do some of the more complicated Phish tunes like YEM and Divided Sky back in the day but not much anymore.

Stevo

not at all anymore, and good luck finding one of their shows where they covered Phish, I believe they took all the recordings out of circulation or something, i’ve wanted to hear how well they could cover some of those songs and have never been able to find a recording of the biscuits covering Phish

Here are some pics.

Gordon is in the background. Had one of those madballs masks on.

I’m on the right. I dressed up as the SNL skit ‘dick in a box’ too bad you can’t really see the box in this pic though.

a fine choice there, booz.

"Newcastle Brown, I’m tellin’ you, it can sure smack you down
Take a greasy whore and a rollin’ dance floor
It’s got your head spinnin’ round
If you live on the road, well there’s a new highway code
You take the urban noise with some Durban Poison
It’s gonna lessen your load "

um so yeah, anybody find this lawn boy show on the web yet?
