I figured I would start a thread about one of the funniest things on television. I’ve had things to say about it before, but tonight was rediculous. Did anyone see it? Will Farrell was on and that was hilarious, as you might have guessed. The next guest was charming and beautiful. And then strangeness followed.

Instead of the musical act, Fred Simmons, the “king of the tae kwon do demo…” did his thing. He completely made a huge ass out of himself in front of the world. Holy shit I hope this ends up on YouTube!! He started asking if they could redo stuff, and Conan kept saying he can’t, it’s “live”. Finally he ended up being an ass to his students, ripping on Will Farrell and screaming “FUCK THIS SHOW” and stormed off. When his students didn’t go off with him, he came back and screamed at them. It was rediculous. I thought it was all a joke, kind of, but then at the end Conan brought him back and the guy started mouthing off at Farrell again and being a huge baby. Gahhh it was wild. I really want to see that one again.

I’m not into late-night shows as much as I used to be. I liked Kilby when he was on. Now I watch Kimmel, if anything.

Conan is DA man!

I haven’t been able to watch much since college, due to getting up early for work and my Friday nights are NOT spent at home.

But I caught an episode during the writers strike and it was AMAZING! He spent like 5 minutes killing time by trying to break the world record for spinning a quarter on a table top. Genious!

Holy crap! It’s up on Youtube. That is some funny shit! The guy is a total glory hound, and yes, he is a total dipshit. The funniest part was when he didn’t break the cement blocks and he looked like he got blindsided by a sucker punch. Wow, words can’t describe how awkward the whole segmant was. Just watch and enjoy!

Conan’s lost it over the past few years, IMO. I guess I should rephrase that…Conan’s writers have gotten worse over the past few years. Nothing beats the days when it was just Conan, Andy and Robert Smigel writing that show.

Anyway that sounds like a strange thing to leave in the show. Why was Conan saying that it’s live? Conan’s never done a live show. They definately could have edited it out…I’m definately going to have to check this out later.

I’m still crushed that they took the Late Late Show with Tom Snyder off the air.

Of course, he’s dead now but…erm…well…show some reruns or something.

I didn’t know Snyder was dead. I loved that man. No one laughed at his jokes except for himself and then I would would start cracking up. Good times.

I loved Tom’s long tangents that he would go on where he wouldn’t even ask any questions. Just classic stuff. He’s done some insane interviews over the years though…

And who can forget the Jon Stewart show? That show was off the hook. Though he actually got Letterman on his very last show as a guest which is incredibly rare.

I thought the Jon Stewart show was still going.

I disagree that Conan has lost it. If you would have seen episodes during the strike, you would have changed your mind about that. Holy shit that was a funny time.

^ That’s what I’m saying man. I think it’s his writers that have gone down hill…hence why it was probably funnier when they were on strike…I wish I would have seen some of those episodes.

And only one more year until the Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien.

They were talking about this on howard stern earlier, apparently Leno isn’t retiring, and might be going to a different network after next year. It wouldn’t be suprising to see NBC fuck Conan over and let Leno keep the show, but they would have to pay Conan 47 million to break that contract.

Conan says if he doesn’t get the Tonight Show, he’s done.
