The Dark Knight

Geez… bold AND underlinded?

Remember to keep that breeze.

And I believe Heath is going to be in one more movie… At least part of it. Director is adding a couple more actors and changing ideas at the moment I believe…

i can’t wait to see this. i finally saw the trailor the other day and thought this will probably be the best movie of 08

I gotta say, this looks awesome. I didn’t actually watch the previous batman film though, I thought it looked pretty sucky from the trailers I saw.

batman begins was $$$

much, much better than i thought it was going to be. christian bale is the superior batman.

i love the differences between Jim Carrey and Heath Ledger as Joker. it’s going to be so awesome to watch this flick.

^Actually Jack Nicholson was Joker, Jim Carrey was the Riddler.

So, how come Gotham has such an overabundance of Super Villains but can only produce one Super Hero?

Jack Nicholson as the Joker = one of the greatest roles ever…I can’t imagine Heath doing it 1/100th of good as Jack did, but all the critics are going to rave just because he’s dead now.

ahh, good call. my memory is obviously pretty fuzzy.

For me, Mark Hamill will always be the Greatest of Jokers, but I look forward to the new film.

Say, I wonder how many Phish fans will show up to see Prince Caspian?

(I couldn’t help but notice the strumming going on in my mind when I saw the trailer for PC at the theater the other day.)

“Ohhhh, to be Prince Caspian…”

i’m just gonna say it: heath is gonna smoke jack in that role. that’s just my taste though. i like the grittier, darker, more adult-oriented direction of the new batman flicks. the original is a classic, and i think jack was great at the time, but the joker should be a frightening fucking psychopath out of a nightmare and that’s what i think he’s gonna be in this movie.

wow SmellsPhishy, as Grandmas go, yours must’ve been pretty smokin’…

I agree…I like Maggie Gyllenhall. She’s hot AND she can actually act. Amazing…

And sorry, SmellsPhishy…I would argue that Batman 1, 2 and maybe even 3 were better than Batman Begins. Begins was a bore, had lame villains and had a crappy ending.

Stevo

I would argue that Begins was the best one since the Keaton era. Maybe better than Returns.

I love the dark, demonic directing of Begins, plus the origin of his training.

The Dark Night is gonna be the best one yet, I have a feeling. Plus, my friend is an extra in it.

Batman > Begins > Returns > there were other ones?

;D

Batman 1, 2, and 3 were all fairy tales. If thats what you like thats fine but I like the more realistic and darker version of Begins. And talk about lame villains… the Penguin.

And I like Maggie, I was just pointing out she looks like my grandma.

Goldenroad, thats ridiculous and insensitive. You haven’t even seen the movie or read any reviews of the movie yet you’ve already decided it’s impossible for Heath to do a better job and you apparently already know what the critics will think “just because he’s dead”. What if the critics think he’s better because…he is??? It’s sad because I’m sure you’re not the only one who will think “just because he’s dead” people will praise him even more.

And my grandma used to be smoking btw…

;D ;D ;D

I actually liked DeVito as the Penguin…and he was MUCH darker then the more dignified version of him from the comic book…they made him more of a monster in the movie which I thought was cool. And yeah Part 3 was a fairy tale but I liked Jones and Carrey as the villains. And maybe it’s me, but Begins was a bit fairy-tale-ish, especially at the end with the poison gas and the flying train.

I KIND of agree with Goldenroad…there’s no WAY that anyone is going to give a bad review of Heath Ledger especially because he’s dead. I’m not saying he won’t be good, but you’ll never see a single bad review of his performance…that’s a guarantee. And I’m sorry…he’s got BIIIIGGG shoes to fill with Jack Nicholson.

Well, today is the day. I’ve got my 12:01 am tickets for tonight and am fucking pumped. This is going to be epic.

Anyone else hitting up a late-night showing tonight?

No other way to see it.

Huge screen & huge sound system.
Not to mention assigned seats. Center, halfway back.

Heath is gonna be nominated for best supporting actor.
Mark my word.
