I’ll rent it if only because I never see movies in theaters. I’m a rebel.

See, now the lack of a signature was me being rebellious.

Un-fucking-believable. Greatest Batman movie yet. Ledger was incredible, definitely rivals Nicholson. Two different takes on the character, but Heath Ledger was brilliant.
Yeah I went to the midnight showing as well Soul Glo. It was good good stuff. Ledger was definitely incredible. I mean his performance was just awe-inspiring. I haven’t seen the first Batman in forever. I’ll have to re-watch it and compare. Although there really shouldn’t be a comparison, but IMO the newer version of Batman just blows the other ones away.
I also though Aaron Eckart did a nice job as well. Of course I’m a fan of his, but I thought he was right on as Harvey Dent.
Seriously go to the theaters this weekend.
Well at least they have a good actor set up for the inevitable Two-Face appearance in the third movie.

i’m just doing my part to help avert a worldwide calamity caused by the destabilization of the internet due to your lack of signature at the end of your posts.
disaster averted…so far.
oh and t-minus one hour and fourty five minutes until showtime!
Well I just got back from my second viewing of the movie. Even better the second time! Everyone must go see it, even you Stevo.
$155.34 million opening weekend. Holy retirement, Batman!
Even ME? Am I some sort of movie snob or something? Well, you’re right…I am…about 90% of popular movies are crap. But, yeah, I can’t deny when everyone on the planet seems to say this movie is awesome. I only saw half of Batman Begins so I need to rent that first, of course. The second half was kind of weak but maybe it’ll get better if I see it all.

went last night… holy shit… that was an incredulous movie…
heath really created something out of the joker that brought a fresh dark feeling to tDK… imo this was the ultimate Batman… Bale acted solid throughout the movie, and Eckhart was a perfect Dent… and 2 Face looks badass as hell…
overall greatttt fuckin movie…
prob seeing it again soon
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0468569/trivia
some funnies in there about the movie… i like the part where Michael Caine met Heath in makeup for the first time and forgot his lines… really shows how much Ledger cared about making his Joker the ultimate batman villian…
why. so. serious?
ledger made dark knight
that said, it was a good movie, i still prefer the OG batman
I even prefer batman begins as that story was new to the big screen, and I thought darker, with the scarecrow and the hallucinogenic crap, batman ozzzing shit out of his face when people were tripping
this one felt more like a social commintary on the state of the world and shit, it seems all the summer movies have had some form of social commentary and it’s really pissing me off, i don’t go to the movies to hear about this shit, i go to be entertained, i read to find out what is so fucked up about the world, i don’t need to pay $ to be entertained and get some crap about the way the world is
all that said, i was still entertained by dark knight, just don’t think it was the second coming or anything like so many others
it’s getting so fucking fluffed it’s redic, if ledger was alive it would not have been this big
You can’t deny that Ledger dying was possibly the best thing to happen to the movie. Even people I know who couldn’t have given a crap about Ledger before wanted to see this movie to “see his last performance” so they’re getting people from all walks of life seeing this rather than just comic fans.
Overall, I’ll bet he’ll win the Oscar for it if only because award shows LOVE giving awards to dead people.

I saw it yesterday, and my feelings…I think I need to watch it again. I think Bale is better Bruce Wayne than Keaton, but Keaton is still the best Batman. Why does Bale have to talk like that when he was the Batman costume on? He sounds like an '80’s wrestler or something. Aside from that, the story is probably the best Batman story so far. The action scenes were good, but nothing mindblowing.
Ledger is all anyone wants to talk about though. He’s good. He does the Joker A LOT differently than Jack did. Jack did it with a sense of humor, Ledger, not so much. To me, though, the Joker is meant to have a sense of humor, a dark, twisted, morbid sense of humor, but at least a bright side to take you briefly out of the disparity of Gotham’s darkness, and Ledger never really makes me laugh once throughout the whole movie. That part disappointed. Having said that, Ledger is as good as everyone is saying he is in this movie, but still Jack was a better Joker,.
and I had wanted to see it on Imax but after watching it on a regular movie screen, I don’t have much of a desire to see the imax, it had some action and all but I was kind of expecting more broad cityscape scenes with more action
legder was better than jack. his humor is darker. definently laughed at him a couple of times
Well there’s been multiple types of Jokers, even in the comic books depending on who writes that particular issue. Jack did a more silly Joker while it looks Ledger is focusing on a more sick and twisted Joker. It’s different characters so it’s hard to compare.
Overall, I’d say the key to a good performance is when you forget who the actor is behind the character. I felt that way for Jack playing Joker in the first movie and even DeVito as the Penguin in the sequel. If you can watch this and forget that it’s Ledger and only see the Joker than that’s a good thing.

The only Batman movie I’ve seen all the way through is the first one w/ Keaton. I thought it was excellent. I just am not a big Batman fan.
Conversely, I love Superman and was obsessed with him and the movies while growing up. In fact, in elementary school I drew and colored a Superman logo and taped it to my shirt. I then wore a button up shirt and throughout the day I would “rip” open the shirt to reveal the logo.
Yes, I ended up seeing a therapist (not really).
