AFTER TAKING A QUICK LOOK AT THIS MOST RECENT SHOW, AND THE FIRST THREE OF THE TOUR, THEY SEEM TO BE PRETTY WELL BALANCED. WHEN YOU INCLUDE THE ENCORE, EVERY SECOND SET IS LONGER THAN THE FIRST BY A FEW MINUTES. CHICAGO SECOND SET IS LONGER THAN ITS FIRST BY ITSELF.

i agree, it does seem like the first sets are longer… especially on paper because of how many songs are being played in 3.0… BUT, the lack of “out there” jamming makes that a deceiving point. ya never know until you see the track listings and song lengths.

If you include getting out of the venue, then that could make the second set/encore much longer. :problem:

Here are the times I have. Set II includes the encore… so it is once they leave the stage for the evening…

Hartford1 : SetI: 1hr 34 minutes, Set II/Encore: 1hr. 27min)
Harfford2: Set 1l 1 hr. 23min, SetII/Encore: 1 hr. 32min)
Camden1: Set1: 1 hr. 32min, SetII/Encore: 1hour 40 min)

I forgot to write down the stop times for the SPAC shows.

Hmm…I gotta honestly say that I have never payed that much attention to this…There were a couple sets right before the break up that SHOULD have ended after about five minutes.

those sets are about the same length you get a nice 15 min ghost a 26 min bag, nice improv there. if you tack on the encore break time the 2nd set is longer. just listened to the emotional rescue its funkin awesome (can anyone pin down the theme trey toys with at around 9:50 - he does it a lot i know) generally speaking i think the 2nd sets should be longer but i also must say I do like it when im at a show and the first set just keeps going and going and going…
