I agree, but after a jam like that even a beautiful Slave just can’t seem nearly as mind boggling as it normally would. It’s what comedians call “leaving on a high note”. It’s harder to do in music because sometimes you hit that high note early in the show. It’s not like you can leave the stage after 45 minutes of playing.
Also, can you think of a better run of shows to be obsessed with? Perhaps the best ever versions of AC/DC Bag, Halleys, Tweezer, Black Eyed Katy, Emotional Rescue, and that Mikes Groove…c’mon…why haven’t they released those damn shows yet?
