I read the other material you are working on, and you certainly are getting a good amount of ‘dating’ material to make it a strong finish.
I tried to do stand-up a couple of times…nothing extreme, just some open mics.
i did the whole 'carry a notebook and wirter down funny shit; thing, and tried to piece it all together.
The last time I did it…got up, stared at the crowd…forgot everythign i wanted to say…and walked off. I then paced the parking lot for about 45min (freezing my ass off) reciting my stuff over and over again.
Walked back in, and delived my stand up…i think I got 3 little laughs…but hey, i did it.

It seems to me as if networking is really just kissing some ass so someone will give a you a job. If you’re lucky maybe you’ll get an internship. Which is really glorified slavery. Slavery is still alive and well in America, under the guise of an internship.
I really have no desire to be famous. It just seems like too much of a responsibility. I wanna be able to walk down the street and make a jackass out of my self and not have to read about it in Page 6 of the NY Post. which isn’t even on Page 6, why do they call it that? Or I dont wanna find a picture of myself smoking a bong in US Weekly. There is a section in US Weekly called The Stars are just like us. There was a picture of Ben Affleck walking out of the grocery store with a big stash of Toliet Paper, thats my favorite one. The stars are just like us. their shit stinks just as bad as ours does!

Ok, so my friend Tara who runs The Healthy Hippie Magazine asked me to do a humor column. I’m pretty stoked since I’ve always thought writing a column would be fun.
Here is my first draft. Let me know what you think.
First attempt at humor column

The unsung heroes at any outdoor music festival are, of course, the portopotty cleaners. I make sure to thank them any chance I get. Clean bathrooms mean happy campers. While you are running around festival grounds trying to see as much music as humanly possible, its nice to have a tidy spot to sit down and relieve yourself every once in awhile.
It’s unfortunate that many people have no respect for the portopotties and they turn in bio hazard zones. What gets me is that when people will line the toilet seat with toilet paper, and then leave it there for the next person. That is even grosser than sitting on the bare toilet seat. How dirty could the ass have been that sat there before? I mean really. It’s even worse when people just decide to squat and end up peeing all over the seat, and don’t bother to clean up after themselves.
I usually just give the seat a good wipe before I sit down. At festivals my porto potty time is my office. It’s the perfect time to text back friends and make some calls and see where my people are at and get myself back together to rage!
The porecelin god is not to be trifled with. Don’t visit to often, or that place will own you, you will become a slave to it. Make sure you don’t break the seal to quick. Especially if you are drinking massive quanities of beer during the day.
You have to admit, there is nothing better than the smell of a fresh clean porto potty in the morning, or when you find the row that has just been cleaned. I attribute it to finding the holy grail. Complete with toilet paper!
So the next time you see that big truck with the hoses full of shit piping through them, make sure you thank the man doing the dirty work! Enjoy the festival season.
this reminds me of my porto potty at coventry. there was a big block of them that was in a big L shape. the one in the corner couldn’t be opened because of the one sitting next to it unless you pushed on the door real hard and squeezed through. that one was mine! when the others were over the top mine was nice and clean with paper. you know those irish springs commercials where the girl is cutting the soap bar with a knife, standing under a waterfall or something with flowers in her hair? that’s what this one was like!
