Looks like I am in for this one!! Havent been since the 2009 run which was one of my favorite concert experiences ever!! My best friend lives in Portland, so this gives me the perfect chance to go see him for a few days then bounce up to Washington for the weekend! Cannot wait!!

Count Me In. I made a promise to my buddy Dave that the next time Phish plays the Gorge on a weekend that I’d go.
Since I swore off camping after High Sierra 98, I’ll be hotel-ling this (!)
Shoot, the camping there is AWESOME. I agree I hotel everything these days too, but what an exciting time it was waking up near the Gorge every morning for 3 days… Loved it!!!
Unless the camping there is climate-controlled at 70F I’ll take my chances with a hotel.
I like waking up on vacation on my own time / schedule, and not because the baking sun wants me to at 7am. Also don’t like it when it gets so cold in the middle of the night that it wakes me. Between the 2 ‘natural awakenings’ that puts good sleep at 3hrs. No thanks.

Yes, the temps will be 80-90, but it is dry heat in that part of the state, and you would have no problem sleeping until at least 9 oclock. It is actually very pleasant weather up there in the summer. Always really breezy too! HAHA!!
I would highly recommend camping at The Gorge even if you have sworn it off in the past. It is such a beautiful place to camp and even though temps can get into the 80’s pretty quick, it is very dry and windy, so it does not feel that hot. The weather last time I was there was quite beautiful!
…Oh and it gets pretty cold at night time. I remember wearing jeans and a hoodie into both shows!
wouldnt miss it. if you don’t camp at the gorge you arent truly in the spirit of the weekend but yer still welcome.
Believe you me, I thought I was down with camping until I woke up at 5am freezing and again boiling hot at 8am. The only ‘environment’ that I can sleep past 3hrs per night is if I hotel it.
I hotel’d it at Indio and many-a-folks who camped were pretty jealous. Something about a bright parking lot light in their face all night.
To be honest, with the way the Phishamatics adds up, the ONLY reason I’m going to Gorge is because of a personal promise, even if it means flying 6hrs PLUS driving another 4.5hrs to get to a Phish show.
Having Hank find you at 10am, with a cold beer and a Dude-brah hug is perfect…
