Dark Side of the Moon too cliché?
Is it me or do these “this hasn’t happened in XX amount of years” things seem to happen like every two months? I coulda sworn there was some lunar event that hadn’t happened since the 80’s just a few months ago.
As for me, I’m working and I doubt I’ll see anything. I’ll live.
Cleveland has these random speaker boxes on random corners. Today they will be playing Dark Side with Eclipse starting right at the peak of the eclipse.

I used the obscurance of a thin cloud covering, combined with polarized sunglasses just to take a few glimpse. Pretty cool.
Too many clouds here in the Bay area. Missed out. Kinda bummed. Wife and I decided now we’re gonna travel to Maine in 2024.
It was clear as day here around noon and then around 2pm when we were supposed to see stuff, it was completely overcast. Despite this, a bunch of folks at work still went outside to look because why not?
Looks like I’m in or very near the PATH OF TOTALITY (spoken in a booming, echoey voice) for 2024. If not, at least I’ll have the ability to travel easily. I’m already anticipating rain that day.

Apparently so are we. But it feels like we have a some sort of eclipse like every two months so I doubt I’ll be able to tell a difference.
^a total solar eclipse is something special unlike any other eclipse. If you’re in the path or nearby I HIGHLY recommend viewing it. Many describe it as a life changing experience.

I get that…but it’s just all the same to me. Some large object getting in the way of some other large object and creating a neat visual effect. I get that some are excited over this stuff but I just don’t see the allure. To each their own.
