The Horseshoe Curve

dude…something is wrong with you. GET A LIFE

OH~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!

Wow, Spooks you need some Taint…??

Eh?

When did Trey do this? Are we sure this isn’t left over studio material from '02? ;D

you know, without sounding negative or whatever, i am also a bit curious when some of this stuff was recorded. i don’t believe i ever read anything that said this was newly recorded.

in the end, it doesn’t matter… its great stuff that hasn’t been heard (or at least released) before, and even if the material does originate from the 01-02 era, again, it does stand out in that its far more “jazzy” and dissonant.

just listened to a song on Trey’s Myspace page.

sounds pretty sweet.

might have to pick it up.

^ I was a slow buyer here, but it is jammin with Trey taking a backseat on most tunes, I like it a bunch now, grew on me…

This stuff is from 02 trey band tour. it’s the exact same band as the plasma double live cd.

I Love this band and There old new material! A must have, if you don’t have it all ready. Oh and I love Plasma too!!!

I may have to pick this up, because Oysterhead and TAB (especially Plasma) are some good shit.

Me mucho approvo!!

my friends like it too!!

Definitely more of a Trey composed album than a Trey-centric album. Nice.

I love this album!! Well, I like it a lot anyway. Definitely the best thing he’s released since Phish broke up, though it’s all material from before that.

Same bullshit! Different day!

SSDD?

my pops used to have a SSDD bumper sticker on his bread truck, man i loved that bumper sticker b/c it said shit and I was like 8 or 9 and thought it was the coolest thing, now knowing that SSDD is more about the daily work grind I really get the whole SSDD thing

Bread… Like this because it rocks,

i’m really having trouble getting into this one much.

not in the right mood for it i suppose.

i really do want just some straight forward rockin.

and sadly, shine is better for that.

::sets up living quarters in small, bullet proof room with air-holes and freeze dried meals::

it took me a while to get into as well but I like it now.

the horns and the sound give it a nice added dimension. plus with trey in the backround, the emphasis is more on jamming as a band instead of trey just going on and on noodling like he’s prone to do now days.

it’s also a nice change from the album-oriented-rock-trey, ya know?

I just unwrapped the vinyl copy I’ve had since it came out. I think there were only 1,000 of them pressed. I originally decided to just leave it wrapped & be contented with the Lucius Beebe EP CD that came with it, but now that I’ve ordered both Green Sparrow & Original Boardwalk Style records, I thought, screw it. I opened Horseshoe Curve last night.

I don’t have a whole lot of Trey stuff, but the Horseshoe Curve/Lucius Beebe stuff is pretty fun. It’s pretty busy and noisy, and it sounds like there’s some secret tropical party going on the whole time.

The segue from “The 5th Round” into “The Horseshoe Curve” is butta. By the way, the song “The Horseshoe Curve” sounds like a half speed funk instrumental version of Llama.
