oh no, i haven’t forgotton about those gems. actually, those aren’t bad to me. nothing great or mindblowing to be sure, but not bad. anyway, before the Shine-times, there were horns and afro-cuban beats. lots and lots of them. and they were great! but trey’s always been about pushing forward, not looking back. so that’s why i’m sort of suprised that this album would be of the variety that it is. i was thinking his next one would be something really different.
but i digress. it’s not even released yet. AND it’ll probably be really interesting and great. so, i’m not complaining. just thinking out loud (if you can do that while typing). carry on lads and ladies.
