The Man Who Stepped Into Yesterday

i hot this years ago, at a used record shop, and it had a great live yem at the end. anyone else have this?

I hate live versions of gamehenge. the original recording is so awesome. trey’s voice is hypnotizing and dare I say captivating. live it’s like he’s explaining it rather than telling the story of it. this is definately something I’ll put my kids to sleep with.

Your not serious, right?

You HATE live versions???

Someone get this kid 03/22/93 STAT!

the songs are fantastic, but I hate the way trey does narrations. live narrations ruin the story.

Is this a live version and if so what is the date on it.

   I love you Uncle Vernixx.

I saw a live Gamehendge and hot dang, I wanna friggin brag about it at yo ass right now cuz it’s 12:22 am & I’m a-openin one more brew.

It was raining and we were pregnant for our first child, and man … it was their final Gamehendge. And such a brilliant show overall.

I can’t tell you how happy that I was that I chose to see 7-08-94 instead of 7-09. We could only do one night, and how was I to know?

(Plus a bunch of my friends went to only the 7-09 show, and I’m pretty sure that to this day, every stinkin one of 'em has no idea what they missed by choosing tickets for 7-09 instead of 7-08.)

I’ve never heard a complete Gamehenge before, but I just downloaded the studio version and Gamehoist show. Somebody tell which I should listen to first.

i just found out that a studio version exists about a week ago when Buster posted it on here.

the only complete Gamehendge i’ve ever heard was which ever one it is where the lead into it with NO2 and Trey talks about a dentist office or something. I don’t know, Will sent it to me.

it was sweet though

well its not really a studio version

^what is it then?

It’s a four track demo recording that trey recorded for his senior thesis at goddard.

^recorded in a studio of some kind though, no?

yes

ok; therefore, it is a “Studio version” of Gamehendge.

No.

If I’m not mistaken, a “studio” refers to a place that is designed for optimal acoustics. A “four track” is just a machine that allows you to record four tracks either simultaneously or separately no matter where you are, hence the quality of the recording. “hisssssssssssssssssssssssssssss”

Either that or I am pissing up the wrong tree.

sigh

ok, we’ll just refer to it as “the version of Gamehendge that took place in a controlled recording environment with no audience, properly rehearsed, edited, revised and made into a recorded piece of music for people to hear on tape, record or disc”

that’s way easier to say than “Studio”

I’m just saying, I like to be accurate.

In the 10 years of knowing about TMWSIY, I’ve never heard anyone call it a “studio” recording.
