Finally, conference basketball is underway! This is a great time of the year. College bball is heating up and NFL playoffs are in full swing. It’s good to be here.

I def thought Purdue was going to pull out a W last night. Still a very solid showing on the road against a top 5 team.
This is the THIRD game this year where they’ve gone on the road, played poorly in the first half, used a second-half surge to take the lead, and then end up losing a close game. The other two being Clemson and Missouri.
But you can chalk it up to inexperience - they start the youngest team in the country I believe.
I can only imagine how good they’ll be 2 years from now when Hummel, Martin, Johnson and Moore are all juniors.
Don’t worry…you guys weakened us for our FINE showing on Saturday against Iowa…possibly the ugliest game I’ve ever seen. You could take some five year olds on a court and they wouldn’t put up that many bricks. Dear lord. Let’s hope the Spartans redeem themselves against OSU tonight…LIVE on ESPN!!!

I don’t care for either Duke or UNC, but the rivalry makes for great TV and I love watching their games.
Hopefully they won’t disappoint this year.
But it won’t compare to great rivalry games of the 90s.

Hey… Dayton made a list.
That brings back memories.
That I can’t really remember.
Dayton is a great team.
They could be undefeated if they hadn’t dicked around and lost at George Mason.
But they’ve won 13 in a row. I watched them punk Louisville, and I was actually unaware that they hammered Pitt (ranked no. 6 at the time) by 25 points. They also beat Rhode Island, no. 20 at the time.
Good stuff.

Seriously, I LOVE watching UNC this year…I really don’t see any teams that are at their level. Yeah Memphis looks good too but their lame Conference USA schedule weakens them every year…and aside from Houston and maybe UAB, there’s little in that conference this year. That Georgia Tech/UNC game was fantastic last night.
By the way, I don’t think Duke has a shot at UNC except at home. Should be a sweet game though.
Nice to see the MSU Spartans rebound against OSU but they’re still not quite there yet. I like their 11th ranking since it fits them more than being 6th in the nation. They can beat a lot of teams but they’re not quite there yet…there’s clearly a blueprint for teams to use against the Spartans offense since we’re seeing every team cause them trouble by playing zone and full-court press. That game at Minnesota could be brutal this weekend.
