The Official 2007 NCAA Football Thread

No, really!!! I swear!!! I heard it!! I wasn’t imagining things!!! I’M NOT CRAZY!!!
AAAAAAGGGHHHHHHHH!!!

BWAHAHAHA@Michigan. Once again, I watched almost the whole game and it was enjoyable. Michigan’s defense looks slow as dirt and the offense is almost as bad…the only player worth mentioning is Mike Hart who was hobbling everywhere. The Wolvies basically quit in the 2nd half and Oregon totally let up on them. That game could have been 55-7.

My Spartans did well…Bowling Green is a fairly good team so they weren’t easy but I was pleased with how the Spartans rallied back to win. The run game looks good. So far, so good.

Second Hiatus Guy…I’m pretty impressed with Purdue. They could be a force to be reckoned with.

I was at the Aerosmith show so I missed many of the late games but I didn’t miss much but the LSU/Va Tech beatdown, and at least I saw the end of the Auburn/South Florida game…sorry marley…it was at a bar with no sound…I didn’t hear the Dead either.

And geez…anyone notice UAB hanging in there with Florida State? This was a UAB team that had 55 points scored on it by MSU and they almost beat FSU? How bad are the Seminoles right now? Wow.

Dear gawd, this is funny…for all you Notre Dame haters who are sick of the hype, check this out…

Total mockery…I love it.

They’re saying that the ND/UM game is the most important game between 2 unranked teams in the history of college football.

I don’t really buy that.

Of course, it was Lou Holtz and Mark May that said it.

Lou Holtz is possibly the worst analyst on any show that I’ve ever seen. He doesn’t even make an attempt to hide his obvious Notre Dame bias to the point where the other guys in the studio actually make fun of him for it now. I keep waiting for him to suddenly start slobbering all over himself as they awkwardly cut away. He makes Lee Corso look like frickin Socrates. Either way, I am kind of interested in the game, if only because it will make one of the two teams I hate most look absolutely pathetic. I hope Michigan loses partly so I can mock them more and partly because ND will be happy and won’t see Michigan State coming when they roll into South Bend and demolish them once again the week after. MWAHAHAHA.

P.S. Watch the Spartans on ESPN against Pitt this Saturday at Noon! GO STATE!!

Lou Holtz makes Dick Clark on NYE '05 look like Kenneth Branaugh reciting a Shakespeare sonnet.

Not really, but every time I see Holtz I keep thinking he’s about 30 seconds away from a massive brain aneurysm.

I can’t decide who to root for in the UM/ND game.

I suppose I don’t have to root for anyone at all. That’s not fun, though.

I hate ND, even though they’re an Indiana school. But I also hate Michigan because they usually beat up on Purdue every year. I think I heard somewhere where Purdue hasn’t won in the Big House in about 40 years. Jesus.

After much deliberation, I’ll take the Big 10 allegiance.

I don’t give a fuck who they’re playing - the Purdue offense looks fantastic.

Triple post.

Awesome.

Purdue has 300 yards of offense in the first quarter. 24-0 lead.

Oh cool. The quad-post.

a 4 poster…seck.

Geez, ND is horrible. Just awful.

They’re having a terrible, horrible no good very bad year.

::locks thread::

I am predicting, 3 1/2 days before it happens, that Curtis Painter throws for over 400 yards against Minnesota on Saturday night.

26-40
419 yards
4 TDs

Purdue wins 44-24

UVM football, undefeated since 1974!

^
I wish I could say that about my alma matter.

I just did some research and found out that good ol’ MC went 9-30 during my 4 years there. That included loses of 60-7, 56-0, 55-0, and 43-3.

The year after I left, they lost a game 73-14.

Then 2 years after I left they lost a game 69-62 which set the record of most total points in DIII football history. There was even a blurb about it in SI. Here’s the box score to all zero of you who might be interested.

Well…The Michigan State Spartans play Notre Dame this week. That should be fun. Lessee…ND’s two biggest weaknesses (among many) against Michigan was they could NOT block the pass rush to save their lives and they couldn’t stop Michigan’s run attack at all. MSU’s strengths? Run attack and Pass rush. GOOD LUCK, ND. (Of course being a Spartan fan who used to inexplicable collapses by my team, I’m deathly afraid that they’ll choke this away but it almost seems impossible). By the way, enjoying playing ND next week, Purdue. Let’s keep the losing streak alive. We’ll try to leave a little something left for ya. And we haven’t forgot that before last year Weis said that he’s never losing to MSU again…I want to shove those words up his big fat ass.

And seriously…Saturday was a WILD weekend. You have Central Florida almost taking it to overrated Texas. You had Arkansas rolling off 28 straight points against Alabama before Bama wins on a last-second TD and you had that RIDICULOUS Kentucky/Louisville game which was beyond awesome (which was on ESPN Classic of all channels). Meanwhile the two hyped games of USC/Nebraska and BC/Ga Tech were total duds. Go figure. Gotta love College.

Oh and good luck against Penn State, Michigan. MWAHAHAHAAHA

GO STATE!!! CRUSH THE IRISH!!!

Stevo

(12) South Carolina vs. (2) LSU?

Sign me up!

SC has already beaten Georgia, who is overrated anyway.

LSU is gonna demolish them. SC is even more overrated than Texas. If Spurrier wasn’t their coach, they’d be in the low 20’s. That’ll be fun just to watch the look on Stevie’s face when his QB throws his fifth interception.

Stevo

I just checked and it’s SC’s first time playing LSU in four years.

How the fuck is that possible?

Although this year Purdue will be playing Michigan and OSU for the first time in 3 years. Gah!

It’s pretty easy when no games are played ;D
