The Official 2007 NFL Thread!

the 2 undefeated teams are playing each other this week.

so that should cut our issues in half.

Keyshawn is HORRIBLE on the lil pre-game show they got.

And the Pats didn’t blow out the Browns. End was sloppy though.

I dunno, I don’t really mind Keyshawn that much. Although his interview with Chad Johnson was ATROCIOUS.

All I can say is that he is MUCH MUCH MUCH better than Michael Irvin. I HATE Irvin with a passion.

The Seahawks Browns games is also at 4:05.

Way too much hype for the Colts/Pats game. I think it’s just the NFL trying to bring hype to their league which is currently in one of its worst seasons ever. I can’t remember the last time there were so many bad teams.

Tier 1-2
Colts
Patriots

Tier 3
Chargers
Titans
Jaguars
Steelers
Cowboys
Packers
Giants
Lions

Tier 4
Everyone else except…

Tier 5
Jets
Falcons
Dolphins
Rams

I’m hoping some of these middle/bottom teams start picking things up or the first round of the playoffs is going to be a waste of time.

GO COLTS!

I wondered why there was a shade of gray in northeast Ohio!
Red is Pats/Colts, blue is Texans/Chargers, and I guess gray is the other game on Fox! Who the fuck will be watching that game, though.

There’ll be people in Cleveland not even watching that game.

GO LIONS!!!

I hear Kitna might be in some hot water for his Halloween costume.

Funny but a little insensitive I suppose.

I thought that was fucking HIlarious!! He said everything was cool and checked before doing it. There is a picture of it in the Free Press today. LMFAO!!

Meh.

The Indianapolis Star is referring to Sunday’s matchup as “The Duel in the Dome.”

The Hoosier Dome, that is.

Eff off!

I won’t be watching any game on TV…

I’ll be in Cleveland Browns Stadium!

Damn. Marvin Harrison is doubtful for Sunday’s game.
Not good.
Hopefully Anthony Gonzalez or even Aaron Moorehead can step up.

Ben Watson will play for the Pats but he’s coming off an injury.

Agreed. Keyshawn’s not amazing but at least he makes me laugh once in a while.

The one thing about the Oakland game cutting into people seeing the Colts/Pats game…it won’t happen!! The game actually did NOT sell out so it’s going to be blacked out in the Oakland area so they’ll actually get Colts/Pats. It’s the first non-sell out for the Raiders in 4 games. I wonder how many folks seriously did NOT buy tickets so they could see Pats/Colts. That’s genius. Of course, because Houston is the road team, they get the game no matter what. HAHAHAHA. Oakland fans are geniuses.

And it is AMAZING how much ridiculous amount of coverage that stupid Jon Kitna costume got around here. I was absolutely disgusted over the ridiculous amount of debate on the local airwaves about a stupid frickin costume…never have I heard more debate on such a non-issue. People don’t realize that it’s an NFL locker room…ANYTHING is open game for total mockery and Jon Kitna’s supposedly one of the biggest practical jokers in the locker room. Besides, Kitna got it back since one of the other players showed up as a Bible-thumping Kitna.

Stevo

Believe it or not, there are some other good games on the NFL docket:

Jacksonville @ New Orleans - Big D vs. Big O

Carolina @ Tennessee - Both teams fighting for AFC playoff spot

Baltimore @ Pittsburgh - Statement game for Baltimore

Dallas @ Philly - Philly needs this one. A lot.

Ummm…

You forgot about Cleveland and Seattle.

LIONS ARE 6-2!!!

Sorry, but we looked great on both ends of the field yesterday.

Suck on THAT Dre Bly!

did someone say fractured syntax and malapropisms? Thats my specialty! (btw I had to look up what all that meant) Maybe I can fulfill my dream of sports commentator after all.

Oh and how did yall like the hyped colts-pats? I was listening to the game and was impressed how Brady made it happen in the end… didn’t the colts pull that one on the pats last year?

Shuffles bad malapropic memory

The game, I think, lived up to the hype for the most part.

I wasn’t expecting a high-flying shootout like some people were. I think both defenses played very, very well. They pressured Brady like I had hoped and that’s why the Colts were able to get out to a 20-10 lead into the 4th quarter. But as soon as Indy had the ball, a 20-10 lead and failed to get any points, I knew it was over. I thought if they got a field goal they would still lose 24-23, because I just knew the Pats were capable of scoring 2 touchdowns.

And they did.

But I think the game showed that both teams are beatable and that Indy’s swarming defense is capable of stopping the Pats. Even if the game were played in NE in the playoffs I still think the Colts can stop the Pats.

I also just learned that this was the most-watched regular season NFL game in the past 10 years.

I wonder where it ranks all-time.

Probably pretty high, one would think.

'Twas a fine game, though I would like to see what would have happened had Marvelous Marv been able to play. The Colts certainly got preassure to Brady, though not consistant enough to shut him down. He just has too many weapons available. I await the rematch in January.
