The play you are talking about was a multi tipped interception. It eventually bounced off a guys leg and then was intercepted before ever hitting the ground. A ref from the opposite side of the field and therefore an awful point of view blew his whistle after it was intercepted because he thought it may have hit the ground. The Colts were forced to settle for a touchback when clearly if any ref was going to blow the play dead it would have been the one at the back of the endzone, with a perfect view of the play. That ref actually spotted the ball as it was intercepted with those blue pieces of rubber they throw to signify it was a clean interception and the play is still alive. Can’t guarantee he would have run the ball back to the opposite 10 yard line but he would have at least made it out past the 20 with all those blockers. One of many things that didn’t go the Colts way last night.
